Here is an image of different finishes, but these are not the official svoemesto names :(

Here is a video showing a bunch of cool options for the semovar, none of which are out at this time (that I am aware of)

Here is a svoemesto coil making jig thingy, which I'm not sure if its cool or sad? and I can't believe NO ONE owns a freaking precision angled (surface mount) wire cutter except me! They all use a stupid nail clippers! The wire cutter is like $5 at any electronics store.

Somewhere there is a image showing the finishes and the official svoemesto names, I'll find it sooner or later, and post it when I find it.

Phone Guy!

Nice job on the pics and vids.

Yes that coiling vid was kinda sad. The guy who made the vid needs to pop over to the 11k posts micro coil thread. I build on the Artistic Wire Coil Gizmo thing, and I have been on the same coil for months. Pull out the wick, dry burn, flush with water, dry burn, re-wick with Koh Gen Do, and I am back in business.

No reason to believe that my battery problems are the same issue as others, but I am getting .6 to .8 voltage drops just in tube mode - no sticker. My Xtar VP1 (I think) charger has voltage displays right on the front. My Semo gives up when the charger reports 3.8 volts, give or take. That is not right. In the beginning, I was getting a .2 volt drop, and could get two days on a single 3400mah Panasonic. But not anymore.

Koh Gen Do rocks 100%. If you have a hard time with your wife, as I did with mine, buy some Sheseido and let her steal that.

And, for $12, one box of Koh Gen Do is like a lifetime supply. After two months or so, I have hardly dented one pad. Shee-at, I have spent $12 on a pack of Camels. Your woman should give you some slack!

KGD on micro coils in a KFL makes me really, really happy. At the moment, I am fussing with a cyclone on a brand spankin' new REO (delivered promptly by a VaMailMan). Same coil/cotton idea, but not quite there yet. Has potential, but still vapin' my Semo/KFL build while I figure it out... And pretend to be working.

I agree with the above.

Recently (6-7 weeks) received a Kayfun Lite Plus for my Provari. Hard for me to believe there is a better tank on the market. I've tasted friends' RDA at sub-ohms, and I get as good if not better flavor in my KFL+ on my Provari's. I'm not into the clouds, just great flavor. I'm using a 1.3 ohm microcoil with organic cotton wick so that I can use this on either a Silver Bullet mech or Provari.

Well...Mr Baditude !! It is like a reunion around here. Three of my very good ECF buddys !

The Kayfun is fantastic of course. The Taifun is a bit different...just a tad harder to place the coil on the thing (not a big deal)... easier to replace cotton and to fill.....the leak factor is better on the Taifun... (though with prctice not a problem with either)..... and the taste ? It may taste better than the Kayfun and it may not..... I like both....some think the Taifun is better for taste. The Kayfun at a 1.0 to 1.3 coil definately gives you a more powerfull hit/draw. You use much Less juice with a Taifun. It has a lighter draw than the Kayfun. (both of mine are wide open as possible..I like a big draw.)

I also enjoy a 1.0 to 1.2 ohm coil on both the Kayfun and Taifun.....I usually do 7 wraps on a 5/64 drill bit with 28 wire. (probably get better flavor out of a different guage that I could wrap more times)

By the way, plus one on the Kayfun has a better taste than a sub ohm set up.....my opinion as well.:toast:

Across the pond until Aug 2015! Been workin the DIY, did the JACE and RvB, slowly expanding and trying out a few things.

Red Vs Blue is killer !! Try substituting the Blueberry with Apple (or any fav fruit).....(same percentage).. pretty good stuff.

Alright you guys have peaked my interest. Where can I buy some $12 Japanese cotton? So my wife can make fun of me too.

Very elusive stuff. I searched and finally found it on Barney's of NY web site. It's $12 there with free shipping. Amazon and the like seem to be sold out until the end of the month.

And another good friend! How are you Bad?

And, I see you are using a wonderful RTA, and not your usual cartos. Very nice! Nice to hear from you too!
I had been using cartotanks for almost two years. Well, actually I still use them. In my book it beats any clearo for flavor and consistancy.

But since getting my KFL+ it has been my primary juice attachment. Like Rip Trippers says, its like a cartotank on steroids.

I've watched your experience with the kfl with amusement :) I wondered when you would join us lol. Back when I got started with gennys, I swore I'd never stop using carto tanks but I did. And when I first started using kayfuns, I swore I'd never stop using gennys....but I did ;)

Well, I loved my cartos too. However, I haven't used one for six months and use the Taifun as my ADV, my kayfun's as my backups. Both excellent. Yes, glad you joined the RTA group! Good to hear from you!

I didn't know you took a leap to the Taifun, Mr. Bond. My ADV is the Taifun with my cinnamon Danish diy. I agree with everything you wrote. It is both very similar to the kayfun, and with a slightly different draw. I like it because it's easier to refill and rewick, but there is a learning curve. My wife has mastered getting it to leak. She cannot seem to remember to keep that chimney nice and high. I haven't used my kayfun this year, and prefer the 3.1. I wonder if the 4.0 will ever come out. Have you heard anything? Be good, vapestrong!

IMO, both Thunderball and Bill shouldn't be so infrequent with the ECF visiting!

I've been checking in almost every day now for the last week. Since finding my "perfect" vape setup, my obsession with chase the vape has subsided. Frankly, I'm relieved! Still building my woodshop... my new obsession. Have it together by the end of the year, and still plan to produce some vape gear. What happens in August 2015?

Bah. Koh Gen Do everywhere. You cannot hide from the Koh Gen Do.

Koh Gen Do Organic Cotton Pads at DermStore

In stock. Free shipping.

Be a man. Buy women's cotton pads Cheaper and works better than women's cotton underpants.

LMAO..... New trend, vaping with womens underpants....... just boil, cut in to required size strips, thread, prime and vape..... best vape since Thursday! LOL

Thanks for the link. I've had tremendous success with organic cotton balls from cvs pharmacy, and they're like $2.69 a bag or something..... Great flavor, no wicking issues I'm aware of, use them in Kayfuns, Taifuns, and even ProTank coils............

Oh yeah... I did some battery testing today on my Semovar...... the battery cut off is at 3.4v .... Tested two different 18650 Sony VTC5 and a purple efest 18350 (the 10.5amp one). at the point where the Semovar stopped firing was 3.4v according to my volt/ohm meter........... tomorrow I'll switch to my Futura DNA20 with the Taifun GT, and measure those same batteries at cut off point. (probably not the 18350, just the VTC5 18650s)

BTW: I've been using my Semovar in Hybrid mode with a Kayfun 3.1 ... right now I'm using a 30ga parallel coil (2 wires wrapped side by side on a single 2mm precision screwdriver), measures out to 1.2 ohm, heats up quick at 15w and the coil is LONG, lots of surface area....... Better vape? Hell I don't know, it makes vapor............ And I think its cool as hell, cause it doesn't look like dual coils, its 1 long thin coil..... I'm not sure if I can tell the difference between Hybrid mode and 510 mode......... but it does look better, except the logo's dont match up on the side... they're close, but the tank logo is just a little pass the logo's on the mod..... if I adjust the white insulator inside the semovar up a tiny bit, I can make them line up but then I can see a hairline gap (that a piece of paper probably wouldn't slide in)..... so I make it flush mount :D
