LMAO..... New trend, vaping with womens underpants....... just boil, cut in to required size strips, thread, prime and vape..... best vape since Thursday! LOL

Thanks for the link. I've had tremendous success with organic cotton balls from cvs pharmacy, and they're like $2.69 a bag or something..... Great flavor, no wicking issues I'm aware of, use them in Kayfuns, Taifuns, and even ProTank coils............

Nothing wrong with the CVS stuff. KGD tastes a wee bit better but it is a ton easier to wick. The pads already have all the cotton threads aligned. Snip, twist the tip insert and you are done. You will never go back.

Search the big micro coil thread for the term samich - pdib has a post with pics. I will track it down and post here later. Too hard from my iPad at the moment.

Hate to derail this thread any further but I bought some of the KGD cotton (I got it at sephoria and paid shipping :( ) but I think it IS worth the money. Not a game changer for me but a nice upgrade and a box will last forever.

I didn't know you took a leap to the Taifun, Mr. Bond. My ADV is the Taifun with my cinnamon Danish diy. I agree with everything you wrote. It is both very similar to the kayfun, and with a slightly different draw. I like it because it's easier to refill and rewick, but there is a learning curve. My wife has mastered getting it to leak. She cannot seem to remember to keep that chimney nice and high. I haven't used my kayfun this year, and prefer the 3.1. I wonder if the 4.0 will ever come out. Have you heard anything? Be good, vapestrong!

The mythical 4.0..... I havent heard anything about it either. Thought it to be out by now. (the Taifun is my go to Vape as well)...although I have been using the Kayfun since Baditudes comments.......gues I just wanted to remind myself why I swithched kinda permanently. The Kayfun is one powerfull hitter with a 1.0 ohm. I think I stay with the Taifun because of the less juice usage and I dont change the cotton near as often...

There's not a heck of a lot of difference one way or the other. I started with the KF3.1, and still love it on the Semo in hybrid, but I use my Provari's a lot more and usually use the Taifun. Easier to refill, and have to wick a little less often. Again, really too close to call. The four items in question pertaining to this thread, the Provari, Semovar, Taifun and Kayfun are all stellar. Once I discovered this gear, I stopped buying gear for the most part, and as you know, I have a very large collection...it's just not growing any longer. Eventually, I may change to a DNA 100 in a tube 26650. After watching Busardo's review of the Provari factory, i'm a bigger fan than ever. Wow, they do a great job. I may buy another Provari as a backup, which means you know I will. Any suggestion on color? I have black, white, and silver and about 100 accessories, so I can pimp it out. I was thinking about one of the new colors, even zombie....I don't know. I just know it will be a mini. No more reg Provaris anymore! Love the mini. Can make it longer, but can't make a regular one shorter. I do use the 18650 every day, so I don't think it makes much difference anymore. Here's my latest rig:

Love your set ups. Im with ya on all the above. Im done unless you call me and tell me there is something that I just gotta have !!
I vape at 3.5 volts.. just see no need for a DNA. Owned a ZNA DNA for a week. Sold it. It certainly wasnt a Provari or Semo and i certainly dont need all that power.

Its one thing to buy a Corvette or a Hemi Cuda for that occasional burst of power and fun......but if I used an occassiional burst of power on my toppers, I would just be changing cotton.

No, I think your comments are fair and just. Friends don't let friends wick improperly. KGD tastes great and is super easy to wick. I know this is a Semo thread, but if you own a Semo, you are a big dog. Big dogs wick with KGD. 'Tis that simple. To repeat and amplify what you said, it IS worth the money.

I emailed VapeRev today about them possibly getting in some of the cool semovar pieces like the colored windows, or maybe the new svoemesto puzzle driptip. They said not at this time, but if I told enough people to email them, they would consider ordering them to satisfy our demands.

so, if you'd like to see someone stateside carry the semovar windows and maybe the new puzzle drip tip, email vaperev! info@vaperev.com just send a simple request for whatever piece you want, and lets see what happens.......

Here is the email I got from them.
Code:
Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately at this time, we do not have plans to carry the colored Semovar windows or puzzle drip tips. SvoeMesto has sent us some samples with this most recent shipment and our purchasing team is currently deciding if they will purchase some in our next shipment or not. If you know others that would be interested in the same items, please have them email us so that we can forward all your correspondences to our purchasing department. The more request we receive for a product, the more likely we will stock it. If there is anything else we can assist you with in the mean time, please let us know.

Best Regards,

Vape Rev Team

And if you have not seen the Puzzle drip tip kit yet, here it is.... I think its from svoemesto.de which wont ship to the usa :( Its abput $55 ..... I think its worth it, seems like essentially your getting at least 3 completed drip tips.

I hear you, Phone Guy! I have ordered everything SvoeMesto from Cloud 9 over the last year and a half. However, the approximately $56 puzzle drip tip "system" is not available from them, nor from any place I know of. I can have it sent to a military friend in the UK and then priority mailed to me, and my have to. I like that puzzle, a lot, and would have ordered it today if it was available. Pretty good deal, I thought. I've spent that much on a single drip tip. Wonder if they are numbered? Thank you for the link and update. First I've heard about them.

A shame that the US vendors don't carry the whole line of SvoeMesto products. Frankly, when I've needed to order anything, just my luck, they were sold out, so I've gotten everything, as mentioned, from Cloud 9, and received nothing but stellar performance. Keep us posted if you hear anything, please.

It seems to me that SvoeMesto is kind of the name brand in vaping. Among others of course, but it's surprising to me that more vendors aren't scrambling to carry their products...like the puzzle.

I think the puzzle drip tip is a deal at $55 USD. It's essentially 3 completed drip tips in a variety of styles.... that's pretty cool I think.

I am pretty down on vaperev. Intaste.de ships for about the same price, and if you get the order in on their morning, you have package two days later. Vaperev ships express -and charges accordingly, but it takes them a few days to get off their butts to post your package. Silly.

If somebody is jones'in for SM stuff, email intaste.de. They have their act together.

Never tried Cloud9, but I hear that they still charge you the VAT. Intaste.de does not. 19% is a big deal to me.

Seems like svoemesto is getting back in action. They have other display windows in stock now too. Their stock list was pretty static there for a while.

I've never used them either. However, they do not have the Puzzle DT in stock either, it appears. I don't like the Cloud 9 VAT, but sometimes, that's the only place anything I want is in stock. Obviously, the VAT is a lot, not only you, but to me, and most others as well. There is just not enough vendors for these products worldwide, and so many items are out of stock. I was advised by Keith at Cloud 9 that the Kayfun 4.0, which he has seen, was supposed to be out this Spring. It's kind of ridiculous that SM would drop the 3.1 LONG before the release of the 4.0, regardless of the lengthy patent process they are currently undertaking. Meanwhile, I switched to the Taifun, because I can get SM-like quality and current availability for the parts I need. Why the American vendors don't carry larger stocks, and/or stock the full line is also a travesty, given the popularity of these devices. My :2c:.

This is all I've ever seen about the Kayfun 4.0..... It just as well be a rocketship taken apart in pieces, cause I cant figure out sheeeeet. Honestly, I don't know if this picture is real, fake, or what................

5nc9jk0.jpg

I own a couple authentic SvoeMesto Kayfun and a couple clones, and basically the only real difference is the threads, and the authentics seem to be better quality overall.... but hell, that could be my biases opinion too...

I'll say that I get the same great vape from the clones as I do the authentics........ I did have 1 clone that had small non connecting juice channels, I dremmeled the juice channels a little bit, made them deeper and connecting and it vapes like a champ. (although I think my Taifun or Aqua do produce a stronger, more flavorful vape YMMV)

I have been using my Semo in Hybrid mode.... Looks awesome... Vapes awesome........ and honestly here in the last week, I've been playing with drippers! Which I never saw myself doing.... Yeah, I'm cloud chasing a little bit :D I never really have before, I've always been a flavor chaser.... but cloud chasing is kind of fun, until I start coughing up my lungs from those direct lung hits..... :) Why do I bring this up? If you've never done it, get yourself a cheap mech, a sony vtc5 battery, and a dripper with a big air hole (prob $40 total investment).... its kind of fun to take a 1-2 second drag and watch a huge plume of vapor pour out..... Its not for flavor, BUT it gives me a NIC buzz like I've never had before!

I use intaste for all my svoemesto needs. First time I ordered I was like I work for the USPS and there is no way I'm getting stuff from Germany in two days. Boy was I wrong. I keep checking for that mech button that is suppose to come out.

PhoneGuy, I started dripping a few months ago. Bought an Igo W and put about five builds through it. It just didn't make the cut, poor taste and so-so vapor. Even drilled it out a little. About a month ago I bought an Origen v1 from someone in Cali. When it came he had a quad build on it. Put that thing on the ohm reader and it registered out at .27 ohms. Threw it on a Chi You with a big bore Pyrex tip and WOW. That thing had vapor clouds and flavor. I think I can contribute the flavor to a smaller chamber and thicker walls. Since then I changed it to a dual vertical coils at .72 ohms. Bought a clone of it for $15 and it is actually a pretty nice fit.

Still hunting down a 3.1 without having to go the clone route so I can do hybrid.

Interesting picture. Wonder what of? Source? Like you, Phone Guy, I vape my Taifun's more than my Kayfun's. I have done the dripper thing. Since I chain vape, dripping doesn't work for me, except in weekend bursts, and usually as a change of pace, experiment, fun, etc.
I just sold my Just GG and Ithaka. I literally never used them. I still have I think 3 mechs left, so I'm covered should I get the urge, but I prefer my coils at 1.0 to 1.6 ohms typically, so no problem with regulation, which I prefer. While I make a great coil, I don't always count winds, sometimes peel off an extra coil for best geometry, and so my resistance varies between the range described, and I need VV/VW to adjust to the resistance. Also, my resistance does change through a 5 mil tank's usage, and so I need to adjust the power throughout the tank. Took me a long time to enjoy a deep lung inhale. I think I was still healing.....35 year 3.5 PAD smoker here. Now it's fine, but I still mouth inhale, then to the lungs as my norm. Wife lung inhales. To each their own....YMMV. Yeah, the clones are improving, right?! I have 4 authentic Taifun's and two clones (the missus). Only have original Kayfuns. The missus has a 3.1 clone, and can't tell the difference on either clone. Surprising....but a good surprise. Not everyone can go the original route, and these RTA's are two of the very best, and my favorite.

I was looking again at your drawing, and I still see no termination screws or obvious points, so I think it's probably not authentic, but who knows? Thanks for sharing my friend!

Nice story. Thanks for sharing! Like you, I have found the 3.1 quite elusive. I was fortunate enough to have three before they stopped selling them. A major gripe for me with SM. I have an Origen Dripper (and a Taifun GT dripper for that matter), and it is my favorite, and will accommodate virtually any build. I know that Rip Trippers didn't like it, but I had a different experience with dual builds of many varieties. I pretty stick with single coil micros these days, with just normal organic cotton. I do not feel the need to try some of the newer "Hot" cottons out there. My bag of cotton coils is months old and still looks almost full to me. I should get through it 2020, roundabout. Thanks for sharing. Good luck!

Phone Dude!

I think that pic was posted on April 1st...

Forget a cheap mech. Get a LP Reo with a Cyclone w/AFC cap. I am pretty impressed with that (my new) setup. Reo has apparently figured out voltage drop. I vape all day, and the charger says 4V on the battery. Very cool. Very different than a kayfun, and my kayfun ain't goin' nowhere, but it is a nice addition to the lineup.

If you want a serious nic buzz, vape 36mg on your kayfun. You will be beating your wife within 30 minutes, and wishing the headache would go away. Buckets of fun, if you like beating your wife and suffering a massive headache. Hmm. I guess that would be two headaches...

The kayfun 4.0 picture. It may be fake (april fools?), because it looks like theres a lot of pieces that shouldnt go together, I dunno......... thats exactly why I said I dont know if its real, fake or somewhere in between. I can't remember where or when I saw it first, but you find it on reddit now when you google kayfun v4.0

Reo: I've never heard anything bad about them.... I've heard people who use them find it hard to switch back (or) to anything else. I've personally never used one, so I can't comment. The concept seems solid enough to me. I think I can understand the appeal. Sooner or later I'll try one I'm sure.

Clones: I personally have no issue with clones, I'm not a fan of counterfeits. Everybody clones everything nowadays. Pepsi and Coke, Dr Pepper and Mr Pibb, Coke zero and Pepsi Max........... so cloning/copying doesn't offend me... I think people should leave the brands and logo's alone.... but we all know that's not going to happen.... As far as the authentics vs the clones I have, to be completely honest, if my wife blind folded me, and had me vape from 2 setups, all things being equal except the atty (clone/authentic) I know I couldn't tell the difference. They vape the same, which is to say excellently. The differences are apparent when you tear them down, feel the crappy threading, see the rust from the cheaper steel screws/springs/valves/parts/etc............ feel the difference in thickness of the metal (and that ones a maybe). But I'd say they perform the same (in my experience ymmv - don't shoot the messenger)

Dripping: I could never see myself NOT using a tank system and only dripping, too much hassle..... take off the top, drip some juice, hit it a little bit, repeat........ I want my life is easier as I got/get older..... But as a change of pace, and for fun....dripping or more accurately cloud chasing the last few days has been a f'ing blast.. But I do see myself playing (just playing) with drippers from time to time now.

Nic buzz & wife beating: I always want to beat my wife, I don't need the nic buzz for that, the issue is she beats me! LOL. I always joke with the people at the grocery store, if they don't see me for a while, she probably off'd me! haha........ But seriously, I've never had a head rush nic buzz like I have from hitting 6mg juice in a 0.3 ohm dual coil dripper with huge (1/8th?) air holes........ I don't know much about dripping, but I can lung innale off any tank system I've got and not get that light headed buzz I get from the dripper........ 36mg would probably kill me dead on the spot! :D

Magic Bill! What's goin' on dude?

I just got an Origen V2 for my Reo, and am looking for the bottom feed kit. But, I just took it apart, and there is this big bucket under the coil & air hole. How is that supposed to work? I am inclined to unload it by the looks of things.

It's a deep well indeed. I guess the theory is that if you are dripping, you don't have to re-juice so often. Not necessary for a bottom feeder, though. I'm doin' well. Rip Trippers didn't like the Origen at all. He was meh over it. Then again, I don't subohm vape a lot, and that is his home, so different strokes. I don't drip too much either. I do like the air hole adjustability of the Origen. When they first came out, it was one of the better adjustable air hole configurations. Now, everyone is doing it, or we drill what we want anyway, right? How you doin'?
