Just got an email from my friends at intaste.de. They are expecting a shipment from svoemesto next week. That should include the puzzle drip tip. Could not tease out anything else in the shipment.

They also show the new SquapeR as coming soon, for those so inclined. The new SquapeR is 22mm so, it should fit better on a Semo.

No reason to believe anytime soon. But, when there is, I am sure I will get it long before you do and post all about it here. So just keep hangin' on this thread.

Cheers,

-e

Sad face........... Well if there is another nivel chip, and I hope there will be, increased wattage and maybe better battery life might become reality....

Even if you do get it first, I still have better taste in beer, no pabs here......................... :D

No Pabst? The great American beer that won a blue ribbon 120 years ago? Well then, my friend, you are behind me on vapor production, though you always were a flavor chaser.

I did upgrade to Yuengling to deflect your taunts, apparently to no avail...

The Puzzle drip tip set is available at intaste.de for 33.57 euros. That is less vat tax but not including shipping.

Just ordered. Thanks for the heads up. Bet I get it on Thursday. Look out for pics.

Yuengling is the Coors of the East. An honest American brew. It is currently my all day beer. Ain't nothin' wrong with it. Their black & tan is pretty good for the price too, though I have been doing the lager for a loooong time. I have the belly to prove it.

I'm not sure your supposed to have an All Day Beer..... LMAO, do we need to have "the talk" again??

@rodsky: there's always a semo in the classys for some reason. I personally love mine to death. I use it all the time..... my semovar, my futura, and here lately I've been playing with the nemesis and a dripper, just to cloud chase for fun...........and it is fun to fog out the kitchen I have to admit.

Trust me, all day scotch gets really expensive really fast. And sleeping it off during the day is bad at work. As for the talk, save your breath. My first wife tried for a dozen years to no benefit. My second, and current wife, does not even try.

But, to get back on topic, kinda sorta, I'm getting a puzzle. I am so happy. Hope I am happy after I get it.

@Phone Guy - it's actually mine. The reason I've put it out there is because I'm moving to mostly mechs and while the semovar is really nice, I don't use it as much as all my mechs. I just wanted to sell it so that someone else may enjoy it and I would have some funds to get another mech mod that I want. However, no one is biting, and there's a point beyond which I will not drop on the price, I would rather keep it than give it away.

I've heard talks like that in my direction............... not fun, just leave me be me. dont like me no more? well...... I'm sorry but..... those talks dont end well I agree.

The puzzle looks amazing, and it if the bore is not super tight should be enjoyable.
i also have the zen ionizer (long vers) in ss, which is very nice, i need to order the short version. The long one looks more like a straw out of a togo cup, but I like it.

This is the one that stays on my taifun gt... its the long with the steps in ss.... the shorter one looks a little better...

I ain't no EE, but I can pretty much say with confidence that there will never be a firmware update for more watts or lower ohms. Just like you can't take a car from 150hp to 300hp with a firmware update. You need updated hardware, otherwise the support chips will just go poof.

The Nivel assembly in a Semovar is a custom build, so any new boards are going to come from SvoeMesto. Be mindful that SvoeMesto can't get a mechanical push button out the door... which I really want...

Interesting topic though. I am at 10W with a KFL+ and have not even thought about it for months, much less fussed with the setting. I for one ain't jonesin' for more power.

I agree with Ether, I don't think a firmware update would increase wattage or ability to fire lower ohms, I think those things are hardware limitations.

Firmware update wishlist:
I would like to see an option to change battery cutoff voltage (like the dicodes dani/pipeline pro)
Better battery management for long run times.
I would like to see it default to lowest or highest power setting for a given resistance instead show e3 and making me go to menu and do it manually.
I'd also like to see a burst mode like Taifun The Eye/dicodes models, where you could get a higher temp for 1 second than backs down to lower setting, getting coils hot faster, burst of flavor than backs down to preserve temp/vape/flavor.... this is a good idea I think, I used to do this with my evic.

Those are just some of the things I think are very doable with a fw upgrade. If a new chip becomes available.... well! :D

More power, including higher amp limit
At least .5 ohm firable. if not lower.
Repeat: better battery life and selectable cutoff voltage, so you can really drain those cells beyond 3.4v
I'm pretty comfortable with the single button, but I can see others wanting more buttons, that would make us 1 button owners upgrade the control head.

Yeah, the SX350 chip is going to have a firmware update (upgradable over the Internet) which will take it up to a 40W device. OTOH the mech switch would solve that particular problem too!

I just finished perusing the sx350 thread. Apparently, the power circuit was designed to go to 50 watts from the get go. They are slowly releasing firmware updates to up the power until it starts to blow up in peoples faces. Turn it up until it explodes, then back off a little. Not in my face.

Wonder what kind of battery life you get at 50 watts. Still happy at 10 watts here. If I really want a lot more power, I can sub-ohm on my REO - until SM releases the mechanical button...
