Smaller battery types? I am not sure which one to get.

I noticed that the site I am picking up my DIY stuff carries some batteries. I am interested in picking up 2 smaller batteries that will fit my mod tub when I take the middle section off.

I have the turtleship v3, the batty tube alone is two sections screwed together, so If I take the top part off and turn it into a small PV, what size battery do I need to buy?

Secondly, Once I do pick up a smaller battery, what needs to happen with my coils? I am running a Sony vtc 5 battery right now and it handles all my low sub ohms builds... Is there a comparable smaller (In size) battery that will do the same? Or do the smaller battries only handle higher ohms? I am not too sure how that works.

In a perfect world, Id like to be able to take my top section off of my mod, put the smaller battery in, and carry it as a mini-mod that will be able to handle same same coil I have on it when running my larger vtc5. I have a .5 ohm kayfun tank, and a .35 ohm patriot rda set up at the moment.

Thank you!

I don't believe any of the 18350 or other small batteries can handle the same way as a VTC can. I had a damn close call using an 18350 not thinking throwing a .5 kayfun on my nemesis and boy did that thing get HOT. I mean hot like fire not just warm, and it started to make a really weird smell. I would be really careful. Now there might be a battery around now that can handle it , as this was some months ago. Either way it is always a great idea to take a little extra time to do your research (which is exactley what you are doing lol). Can I ask why you would need the smaller size? In a situation where you needed that smaller size would you be able to live with a higher resistance coil?

I just want it for the novelty of having a small mod once in a while.

I guess I will hold off on that until I find a 1ohm coil that I am happy with, then I will pick a couple up.

Just curious, when running a 1 - 1.5ohm coil, how long of a battery life do you get off those little guys?

Thanks for the info, I am going to hold off on picking one up until a later time.

really you got a .5 to run on an efext 10a? that was the same battery that almost melted my face haha. Maybe I had a bad battery or something?

Yah man...fully charged at 4.2v, 0.5Ω, gets you 8.4A. So that *should* be safe...no heat from the battery at all.

I wish Sony made VTC's in 18500 and 18350 sizes...EFEST and MNKE are pretty crummy in comparison.
