The smallest 5v mod that I know of is about the size of a Bic lighter. That would be the variable volt Little Sister. You can check it out at: Box Mods .

I'd say the Little Sister is a good suggestion. You really won't find any better battery (5 volt/variable volt) PV's in an analog size. The battery technology is not that small and probably won't be. But the vastly improved vaping experience at the 5 volt level makes the slightly larger PV well worth it.

But here's what it say as a discription:
DSE-801 HIGH POWER Vaporizer

The DSE-801 HIGH POWER Vaporizer is designed after the origional DSE-801 which is one of the most popular electronic cigarette models and features the combination of performance, size, reliability and function.
The DSE-801 HP Vaporizer uses a HIGH POWER battery rated at 7.4volt.
The HP atomizer is designed at a higher resistance to handle the 7.4v battery, and give the user a true 5volt experience.

This Vaporizer is one of the best for flavor quality. Vapor production is very warm, Rich, and consistent. A "must-have" for anyone serious about electronic vaporizers.

The HP batteries should only be charged with the included charger to avoid damage to the battery.
The HP parts may not be compatible with 801 classic penstyle units/parts

Do no use either the HP Batteries, and/or Atomizers on any other unit to avoid damage to any and all the parts.

The DSE-801 High PowerVaporizer set includes following components:

•2x Electronic atomizer
•2x 7.4v High Power batteries
•5x Free cartridges
•1x Charger
•1x English Instruction manual

Keyzy,
Are you thinking of LiteCig?
DSE-801 HIGH POWER Vaporizer

If so, that is 7.4V.

This sounds really sweet but the last line of the description says:
"Due to the nature of this product, there is no warranty on the atomizers, and 7 day warranty on the batteries."

7 day warranty on the batteries is scary to me,

I would like to see several unbiased reviews of this PV from people who have used it for at least several months. I have serious doubts that it is, what it purports to be. Plus, I know that vaping at 6 volts with a standard atty comes off for many as not warm but "too hot". I will wait for the reviews, if there ever are any "unbiased" ones.

I thought that it was impossible to make a HV battery that small, at least right now?
801 threads won't work with 901/KR808, will they?

I would be very curious to know what the resistance is in these high power atomizers!! Sounds like they want to make it vape like a 5V device... Is that because of the 5V "sweet spot" I've heard about? (I have only vaped 3.7 and 5)

We really love the 5v box with normal resistance cartomizers.. So this looks like it'd be be a good option for my sister who prefers something that's not as bulky.

I can't imagine these working for a long time between charges, though, am I right?

I think you are right. If it was truely a 5 volt option in that size, every supplier and their mother would be selling them. I'm very skeptical.

I talked to a friend that had one and she said they only come in auto so dripping is not a good idea and that they dont wick well but they do vape like a 5v unit.

:) That's me. :) Yeah, I had one for a while and while it hit very nicely, we all know carts don't wick worth a poo and dripping on an auto is a no no (or done at your own risk). I did try to mod the cartridges to get them to wick better and some did do a "bit" better, but honestly, I vape too fast for an atty/cart combo and pretty much have to use cartomizers to get the wicking I need. If you aren't a chain vaper, this device might be a good one for you. If you are a chain vaper, the wicking and the battery life between charges is going to make you nuts. Also, other 801 attys or cartos will NOT thread on these batteries.

There's an itty bitty (3.1") 5v tube mod (can also take a 14500 for 3.7v vaping) called the VyperSS at Vaprlife. It takes lower mAh batteries though, so be aware that the life between charges is going to be about 2 to 3 hours of constant vaping and if you take it out for a long period of time, you'll need to carry extra charged batts. It looks nothing like a cigarette however.
