Dumbest would be purchasing a genesis-style rba as my first exposure to rebuilding. The complexity turned me away from rebuilding again for several months.

Best would be when I purchased my first Provari.

I did the same thing. My first rebuildable was a DiDalike, as they were called, at the time. Terrible genisis rba. I sat up until 3:00 or 4:00AM building the thing for the first time. But I eventually got better at using ss mesh, and owned many more genisis RBAs afterward.

Smartest?? Going subohm. My first subohm tank was a Orchid V6 and from that day on smoking was never an option.

Dumbest?? In trying to find the outer limit the Smok TFV4. Wonderful tank for those who its for but waaaaay to much for me. Not alot of money but it bugs me. It really does.

Howdy, I thought it would be fun for us to share our best and worst stories related to vaping, something like this:

Dumbest: Priming a new coil with just flavor extract...licorice flavor
Second would be impulse buying my first subohm tank and APV, got a Horizon Arctic which is Great but got a DNA30 clone with it which is Not great...and doesnt even have the power for an Arctic :/ overpriced, too

Smartest: Joining E-cigarette-forum and reading it a Lot, and DIY liquid mixing.

Share your mistakes and A-Ha moments!
smartest: diy'ing
dumbeset: short circuiting and continuous firing lols

The smartest vaping decision I've made was to start vaping.

The dumbest thing was, for a short time, thinking there is such a thing as "premium" juices. No such thing. All juice has nicotine, vg/pg and flavoring. There are premium prices and e-juice makers who are geniuses at mixing flavors but there is no such thing as "premium" juice.

I'd say smartest and dumbest was joining ECF haha. I learn a lot here, but I want to buy a lot being here.
Another smart one was starting a YouTube channel. I didn't do it for a ton of subscribers, I did it to review vaping products and record and edit videos which I enjoy and to help with me being shy.
Smart: Buying a Reo Grand.

Let's see dumb, I'd have to say kissing a coil and getting a nice twisted coil imprint on my lip was the dumbest :p
Channel name? :)

Smartest- Listening to Troy, the owner of a local vape shop in Little Rock. He was a great guy and steered me to my first device and juice.

Dumbest- Telling my wife that vaping would be so much cheaper than smoking. "What came in the mail dear?" "Umm, nothing..."

I'm the kind of guy that always believes that if one is good, more is better. I have stocked up on lots of thing I thought were the cat's meow, only to find something better. Below are examples:

1. My first liquid. Bought 20 (yes 20) bottles the first time they were 15% off. 1 month later I hated that flavor. Didn't know my taste would change.
2. My first set-up was 808 cig-sized and cartos. Stocked up on cartos...still have 20 boxes (100 cartos). Also have several 808 batteries, but lost the charger.
3. Protanks. Yeah they were great at the time, but boy do I have a lot of protanks.
4. Fell in love with carto tanks. I have 8 carto tanks and their attendant cartos, and 2 carto punches, filling tools, all gathering dust.
5. Fell in love with Kayfuns. I now have 5. So far I'm still using those so maybe that's my smartest move.

All of the things I've bought were learning experiences and I don't regret buying the first one...it's all of the additional ones that were dumb...except the kayfuns I hope.

Absolute smartest thing may well have been simply starting vaping, but that might be obvious so lets go with something I decided on while actually being a vapor.

Smartest; DIY e-liquid is the one thing that has kept me able to afford everything else. This easily ranks number one on my list.

Dumbest; I purchased a Cherry Bomber mechanical box mod that was quite possibly the most janky thing ever.

I've had plenty of great moments and quite a few less than brilliant ones, but overall I'm super happy that I've kicked the smoke and picked up the vapor.

3 dumb moves: picking up my first actual mod off ebay (a Vamo that lasted all of maybe a day before crapping out on me). Grabbing a Kaiser tank at Sweet Vapes (in their defense, the guy DID point out that they weren't selling). Grabbing a Cthulhu off ebay without reading the description fully (ended up with a clone with messed up threading on the chimney)

Dumbest: Buying 15K dollars worth of vape supplies from China (for my now defunct e-cig business) only to have them illegally destroyed by the FDA

Smartest: Buying a Provari....single best vape related purchase Ive ever made....and its still going strong at 4 and half years old.
