I order my mods and tanks mostly online.. I found it's better quality and cheaper prices than my local B&M.. however I do buy my juice custom mixed at my local shop and acquire points that I just recently used to get this new alien mod kit absolutely free... just sayin

The shop in my old city was great, they used to give me coils for nothing. I become good friends with one of the workers an he just handed a coolfire iv plus to me when I was skint with no mod

I don't think it was the mod, that vape shop carries a reputation in their mods crapping out. My first one from them the arc 4 I had to get a refund from a dodgy batch, & the I just kept giving me a burnt taste then my alien gave up after a week!
However I've had an alien, H priv, osub 80w, vape pen 22 from a different shop & all 4 smok mods have performed great!
It was definitely the shop, also some aspire batteries caught fire.
The shop I go too now sold me good quality 30qs for me tesla nano & I am very impressed with battery life.
I shan't be returning to the first store, aspire batteries aren't brilliant but they should not catch fire! For low wattage they worked with my nebox fine, I'm so frustrated with them not giving me a refund of my alien.
They sell avatar batteries too, they are as bad as efests an awts

It sounds that that store is selling fakes. yes do not go there again.. that many bad experiences can not be a coincidence. Avatar's are ok if they are real.. mooch has them at 20 amps continuous and 30 MVA (max vaping amps).. That means two of them can safely be used to 140 or 150 watts.. not bad batteries at all.

my h priv for me is the best smok device i have, and besides a bug where it won't accept "old coil' when attaching an atty (fw bug well known), it is the best smok vape i ever had. The firing bar is awesome, tc is spot on, battery cover is awesome unlike those latch type ones (like the alien's), and it fires FAST.. way fast.

Just wanted to add that, cause as many problems as i have with smok, i have scored gems like the h priv and the osub which are fantastic mods.. Really, i enjoy the h priv more then my DNA's, truly. I am hoping the T priv is identical but just with a new look and flashing lights..
PS i had a brand new x cube ultra, brand new sealed, and the led light is faulty.. um, the whole reason i bought the mod LOL.. i also bought a wismec RX300 and there was glue LEAKING from the 510.. i have never used it to this day, i wouldn't dare.. both from the same store, i reported it first day on receipt, shop owner is breaking every australian law and refusing to help me out.. furthermore, i used zip pay, and they have been talking to him for 2 weeks now to try sort it out to no avail.. So yeah, point being, some shops are just dodgy. I'm actually taking him to small claims if zip pay reply without a positive result

I've had the h priv for nearly a year now & still no issues, mine was the kit that came with the tfv4 mini. I actually prefer that tank to the baby beast!

After modest use since February, all color
disappears from my black-gold version of
smok alien. That's what I heard in other
forums, too.

Can't go to any bar or so with it. People
might think I'm a beggar. And that is no
good idea in Russia!

Actually the tesla nano 120 Steampunk is made in China & is a great mod

I believe the paint on the silver was alright & I believe they addressed paint issues in the later models. I have the silver an it's held up just slightly better than my black an green, my newest one the paint is peeling but good thing is it came with version b. No updates were needed.

I must admit that my white alien with red frame does not show painting getting away.

I bought the black one with gold frame and the white one with red frame the same day.

BOTH ARE REAL GOOD MACHINES, pls don't get me wrong!

It's just the painting of one of them.

Paint looks good on red & gold Alien brand new.. with reasonable care I hope it stays that way
My sister orderd the full gold version.. should be delivered here tomorrow... she's really excited about it for its an upgrade from her Kanger Nano..

Funny you say stupid 160w..what's so stupid about it?
The T12 coil in my CloudBeast King is rated up to a whopping 300w..I comfortably vape it all the time between 160-200w, depending on juice... good clouds and excellent flavor.. I do have to refill the 6ml tank often when I'm in the mood to blow some serious clouds..

Just for kicks I mounted my CloudBeast King on my Alien..with freshly charged batts it hits just as hard as it does on my RX300 at 160w..
be a good set up driving when I want to blow huge clouds out the window sitting at a stoplight, lol

I've only ever had mods made in China and in more than four years only one of them has failed (a Koopor Mini). And I have many.

Edit: well, I actually broke a Vamo as well, but that was dropping it on a stone floor from considerable height. Can't fault the mod for that.

agree with you 100% Ken... have had some of these Chinese mods for a number years now and they still look good and work perfectly

interestingly, my blue body black stripe one is firmware revision 1, (came with 1.2.1), and that is definitely one of the newer colours.. was something wrong with revb????

yeah my point was, i am curious why they would load the most recent physical build colours with the rev 1 firmware.. no idea why, but i must admit i was shocked, i was *certain* it was going to say revb.

Hey smacksy, can you check whether yours is a rev b 1.02 or a 1.2.1 rev A?
