Hello so I have a smok q box baby beast in purple and I’ve had it for a while but I stopped using it because when I try firing it, it says new coil? And then displays the incorrect ohms. I’m using the correct wattage for the coil provided and everything is tightened down. I’ve cleaned the tank and connector pins with a q tip but still no luck. Sometimes it fires and works but then I try to hit it again and it gives me the error over and over so i can only use it once or twice before it gives me the error. When it displays the ohms I click yes and then it does the new coil thing again and displays a random ohms. I hope somebody can help me fix this issue.

Hello @Carpo, it could be an issue with the 510 connector or it could be an early sign of board failure.
Out of the 2 possibilities and smok's well known reputation I would probably say that the board is dying, I wish it wasn't so as it's something that you could do without.

Your problem could stem from many different causes.
Could contact:
Local B&M Vape Shop (Visit)/someone who knows what their doing -----Might be simple.
Vendor who sold it ---see if they will repair or replace or advise (any authorized distributor may help).
Manufacturer contact ---see if they will repair or replace or advise.
How old is it? Have it replaced if still under warranty:
