At my place
Reading ECF on the RSST it seems, this is a good purchase for me. A few questions:

1. How do you like microcoil+cotton builds on it? Do they work good?

2. I read it leaks from the center pin, does it also leak when laying on its side, out of the wick itself?

3. To what atomiser is the default air flow comparable? I have a kayfun Lite Plus, a Fogger V3, a ProTank and had some CE5 and iClear30's in the past.

4. Anything more I should know about it, before purchasing?

Thanks for your time.

Microcoil and cotton builds work fine but ss mesh is better. It does leak down the center pin. You can fix this by wrapping some plumbers tape on the pin where the insulator sits. It can leak if laid on its side. This is a problem with all genesis atomizers. Having a wick than sits snug in the wick hole and having the full plug in can minimize this. The default airhole is small and the draw is pretty tight. I drilled mine out immediately but if you get one I'd recommend trying it before you open the airhole more.

I've had my RSST for a couple weeks now and went with a SS cable/mesh setup from the get get go. I've tried microcoil/cotton builds in other genesis style atomizers and it wasn't for me. If I can't chain vape it, I don't like it, and cotton doesn't seem to keep up with me in these. With SS Cable, using a mesh wrap at the top for the coil, this things vapor is outstanding. My wife gets mad because I cloud the living room up with it. The RSST is ideal for mesh because the wick hole is insulated eliminating shorts to the deck, a feature most other genesis atomizers seem to be missing.

I've had some slight seepage at the center pin, but nothing that concerns me yet. Any clearomizer is twice as bad.

I would compare the air flow to a coctail straw with a kink in it. ;) I believe it's made purposefully small so that it can be customized for the user and build. Start small and work your way up till it suits you. I'd recommend building it the way you intend to use it before modifying the air hole. I started by drilling mine to 1/16", but ended up with it at 3/32".

EDIT: One last thing....take it apart before you build it. I didn't, and mine was missing the o-ring above the tank. After building it, I tried to vape it and had a huge mess. Luckily it came with spares.

28g 2/3 3/32 SS rope / 500 SS mesh .9Ω... Can't explain why, but no leakage at all. I am using a 50/50 blend in it, but never had any leaks with 100% PG either. I also never need to take the fill plug out unless i'm filling the tank. I did have to wrap the +post with teflon tape though because I run mine in hybrid mode on my Natural. Direct battery contact, so can't have any leaks in there!! Hasn't leaked a drop since modding it.

Best rsst setup imo is ss cable with an Ekowool sleeve and ribbon wire. Ekowool works much better than ssmesh for me. Mesh just dries out too quickly. Everything I've used mesh on gives too many dry hits. The ss cable and eko wool setup has yet to give me a dry hit. Kidney puncher also has aga insulators for the center post and a silver plated rsst post screw as well as other rsst add ins like chamber reducers and reduced top caps that are great. It's a great store for rsst stuff

The AGA post insulators have been out of stock on KP for a while.

Guess I got lucky when I got a baggie about a month ago. Those things do indeed cure the center pin leakage.

OP, go to c2cvaping and pre-order the new pyrex glass tank version. Other than that, its a solid basic RBA and you can get as creative as you want really. Cotton beds work fine and help prevent some horizontal leakage, but as many others said, I too prefer the SS mesh for a pure taste and fast wicking in case I want to chain vape.

I have yet to find a better wick for my rsst than some losely rolled SS mesh, I have tried cotton, ekowool, ss rope/ekowool sleeve. I havent tried silica wick because it irritates my throat.

I think Im going to get a AGA-TD next and run dual 1ohm coils. I love vaping ~0.5ohms but cant find anything that wicks fast enough.

So when I do a microcoil build with cotton on the RSST, it will not wick fast enough to chain vape but will not leak out of the wick when laying on its side?

I never had a problem with it not wicking fast enough using cotton, but it just seemed to always leak. It didn't matter if the fill plug was in or out. It will leak if it is laid down with a cotton wick. I also had a vacuum problem with using cotton. If there was a large enough temperature change the vacuum in the tank would force the liquid out of the wick hole and fill the top cap. Its happened twice to me now. That is what made me switch to the SS rope/ SS mesh combo I am using now. 3ml doesn't seem like much until it empties into a pants or shirt pocket in the middle of Walmart!!! I haven't had it happen once yet with the combo I use now, and i've been shoveling snow in sub-zero weather the last week...

The post insulators are in stock at Hoosier and Tropical also...

Woohoo, just ordered some silicone insulators from Hoosier. Oh and again, fwiw, my RSST does not leak with a cotton wick. I lay it down all the time.

Glad you got your insulators. As to the cotton wick and leaking, glad to hear your doesn't... I never had any luck and the vape I found wasn't even in the same ballpark as the setup I am using now.
