I haven't noticed anything wrong with the resurrectors till my last batch... they are going up in resistance.. quickly. This one I'm using now is metering 3.3 on my provari! I've been using it 24 or so hours now. I just received my mega xl boge 3.0 cartos from ccv also. I haven't tried them yet but the reviews from others have been good.

I bought some 1.7 SmokTech cartomizers from a vendor other than CCV. I then bought the 1.7 SmokTech cartomizers from CCV. They all have worked just fine from both places. However, there is a higher resistance on the cartos from CCV. The cartos from the other vendor are the correct resistance. I'm just sayin'...

I bought 2.0 Boge XL cartomizers from a totally different vendor. These perform the best of any of them.

Love my 1.7 Resurrectors but I have noticed the same thing the resistance has been going up, rarely do I get 1.7, I meter all cartos out of the box.

Same here. My first three orders of Resurrectors all metered at 1.7 ohm consistently. The last two orders I received are metering at 1.8 and 1.9 ohms.

All within the claimed tolerance of +/- .2 ohms. Honestly, I can't tell any difference in performance tho.

Yes, you are quite right. And, that's why I'm not really making a big deal about it. Most have metered within that +/- .2 ohms tolerance as well. I have had a few that were outside that range, but not consistently. I don't know what this means, if anything, but the steel cartos are fine, the black cartos are the ones where I'm seeing the higher resistance.

It hasn't stopped me from buying and using them. And I still like the vape I get from them. It's just something I keep in mind for now.

I have not read through the whole thread, but I got a box of the Res. 1.7 for my E-power Monday... Filled cart to the max, put it on a old battery (not a fresh one off the charger) Got that harsh, nasty taste. Left mouth feeling dry rubbery? Thought it was the "new" taste..but..it did not go away.

I Put my old Res. 1.7 carto back on...

I have had good luck with the Res. but have not ordered for awhile because I ordered 15 on my last order. I sure hope they have not dropped in quallity. When using a new one, I always fill mine real good to start with and let it set for 10 minutes and then drip a few drops more IF it will wick more, plow it out and vape.

I love the E-power, and with the replaceable batteries I can carry a spare with me and never be without power.

I recently ordered some Smoktech 1.7 ohm and 2.0 ohm cartomizers and they taste really gross after about a day, max. Some have tasted burnt the second I start vaping them. (from Madvapes)

Edit: I opened a new carto today and the filling looked messy. Even worse when I ended up taking a hit from the carto it tasted like cleaning solution. No crackle either. GROSS! I'm really disappointed I've went through about 4 bad cartos.

I wanted to chime in on this thread as I have started to use the 1.7 smoktech tank cartos with an eGo-T. So far I have liked these cartos but I have also noticed all the inconsistencies noted in this thread. As a backstory, I started with the DCT tanks using dual coil 1.5s but got tired of poor battery life on eGo-T 650 and I wanted a little bit warmer vape. I ordered 10 single coil cartos from MadVapes (6x 2.0 ohm, 4, 1.7ohm) My experiences are as follows:

1) Draw does seem inconsistent between cartos, some what I would consider "perfect", some that are a little stiffer
2) One had incomplete thread milling
3) One I burnt up instantly, I still do not know what I did because I use the same procedure for initial filling every time
4) I do get the "drop" of liquid that forms on the battery connector, no big deal I just wipe it up with a qtip a couple times a day
5) Some gurgling can happen, this is usually when too much liquid leaks and accumulates on the battery connector (see #4). I typically give it a good shake to get out the excess
6) Sometimes when draw gets stiff, I stick a safety pin down the middle and spin the carto around to clear the air passage
7) I get about a week out of each carto (I have two different flavors in rotation at any given time, menthol and coffee) and I go through a little less than a tank a day on each.
8) All mine came in a clear wrapper

I disassembled the first couple I used just to see what the wear and tear on these units are after a week. As expected the coffee unit was pretty burnt (as the taste reflected) and the menthol less so (but the taste still got harsh). I am not going to even bother cleaning them based on this observation, cleaning doesnt fix that burnt buildup. I have started to notice that when I get the dark liquid going back into the tank, its time to toss it.

Overall I am liking this carto, even with all the inconsistencies. I just ordered 32 more of the 1.7 ohms as I felt they just performed better than the 2.0 ohm versions. At $1.79 a pop I can't complain all that much, however it would be nice for them to be a little more consistent.

I bought a 5-pack of these from Hoosiers, Smoketech 1.7 ohm single coil in stainless, for use on a Kgo. The first one I tried to use, I drip filled and it immediately burned. I chalked that one up to experience and filled the others with the condom method from the bottom and top off with drip. That seemed to stop the immediate burn problem.

So I have 3 in use right now, all on 100% vg juice, 2 Hoosier's juices and 1 Boba's. Resistance is 1.6 one and 1.8 for the other two. All are fantastic producers, quick heating with huge vapor and flavor. However one of them has a tighter draw and seems to work differently from the other two, it still makes similar vapor but you can't hear it "cooking" like the others do. The vapor seems a little cooler as well.

Then today, the one that has Boba's in it, which was working fine for the first ml or so, suddenly burned. I thought I had let it run dry but I checked again and it was nearly full. I have no idea what happened. It's like it suddenly was unable to wick.

This is a bummer; these were the best-performing cartos I've tried.

One question I have: Most vendors say not to use these on Ego type devices, or in the case of Hoosier's, "Not for use above 3.7v" ... why is that? Does this mean that when the Kgo battery is fully charged it's too "hot"?

Another question - how do you disassemble these?

If you are talking about disassembling the carto's, you can take them apart and see whats inside by snipping the wire you see in the center part of the filler material then with tweezers, remove the roll of filler and then take the diaper from around the coil if it didn't come out with the roll of filler. Most times you will see a hole burned in the diaper and or the filler material, thats why they quit working because they don't wick fluid to the coil anymore and also the coils get gunked up and their is not much you can do with that, because no amount of cleaning or any alcohol or vinegar or any fluid will dissolve the gunk. So yes you can take them apart, but not rebuild them without going to alot of effort and new material and soldering, so in my opinion throw them out when they quit working. I do think every one should take them apart occasionally so they know whats going on inside.

Well crap, I nuked another 1.7 this morning. I opened a new one last night and filled a tank after metering it and let it sit over night. When I got up this morning to goto work I stuck them on my battery and it fizzled for a sec then threw my battery into protection mode (eGo 650mah). I took it off and metered it, came up at like .3 ohms. WTF. I love these cartos but I am beginning to think ordering 32 more was a bad choice :(

Aww sorry to hear that :(

That's why I love going with CCV. I can order however many I want at a time and whatever kind I want to try and they have free shipping. It's perfect for me because I've been converting from 808s to 510s

I would try to contact them to tell them about your meter reading! That's kind of scary! Good thing you check your cartos.

Sometimes if you over fill the carto's and flood them you will sometimes get weird ohm readings and if its flooded it will not produce as much vaper as it should and sometimes you will here gurgling, so try blowing out the excess fluid and run a straightened paper clip from the thread end all the way thru the carto, and spin it and try again. I do this if a carto looses performance and it does help sometimes.
Using a 1.7 ohm carto on a 650 mah battery will use up the power in the battery pretty quickly. It would work better with something like the E-Power with a 14650 replaceable battery (This is cheaper on the budget because buying just replacemant batteries are alot cheaper than buying more E-Go batteries) and they are 1050mah batteries. I like the E-Power because you have a spare charged battery in your pocket so you always power.

I will let it dry out and try again. In terms of the battery, it actually doesnt do too bad. Two if them easily last me all day. Its all about the size and form factor for me.

Two of my CCV ones died within minutes; HOWEVER, my other half filled them while I was sleeping AND he filled them with his cinnamon, so I don't know if he did it right or if the cinnamon killed them. Mine are working just fine with a chocolate/vanilla/hazelnut juice in one and grape in another. Afraid to try a third with cinnamon, though. I really like 'em.
