So I got a tfv4 mini last week and I've wicked it about 10 times trying to get it wick right. Tried putting cotton in the channels, ending the wick at the deck base, cutting the wick ends to a point. Pulling the wick though the cap cutting then stuffing. Thick the you name I've done it all.

Does anyone have and tips. I've gotten it wicking fairly decent now but looking for some better results and any help would be really appreciated.

Has anyone ever thought about modifying the cap with some more holes?

Thought I would elaborate a little more since no one is replying to this. I've been using rda's for a while wanted to get a tank to try to reduce juice consumption and not deplete the battery so quickly.

I got the tfv4 mini with the tf-rca and I have tried many different wicking techniques. Such as pulling the wick through the top then gently tucking them in, cutting wick ends to a point. Some wick in the channels some not.

It doesn't seem like the juice is able to get through the wick fast enough and I'm only at 20W.

My question is has anyone ever tried to modify the tf-rca, like drilling the bottom of the cap to open the existing hole a little more, machining the deck cutouts more to open it up or even drilling more holes to get better juice flow.

My thought was to put extra holes above the existing juice channel to get more flow.

Any input would be appreciated

TF-RCA base for TFV4MINI i think is the easiest base/tank to wick. i never get a leak or dryhit on this beast.

my trick on wicking this is simple.
wet the wick first with liquid, tuck it to the juice holes groove, then cut it according to your liquid thickness.

*thick liquid = don't let any tail. snap it at deck level
thinner liquid = let a tail left on the groove.

if you remove the rca from the base, you shouldn't see any cottons on the juice hole.

remember, tuck the wicks so it rest on the back groove.
