I've had the band on since day one, no leaks. It is somewhat of a con in the design but the benefit is you don't have pressure in your tank from threading something with a seal on.
I have the original and the mini. I have had the original for over 6 months and the mini about 3 or 4 months. never a problem with the hinged top or anything else about the tanks. They are my ADVs. juice hogs for sure, but great tanks.

Do you think the Mini hogs juice as much as the full size tank? And about how much more juice do you go through?
What about battery life? I've noticed some of my tanks really pull on my 18650's. I have a Mini on the way, couldn't pass up the deal I got on it.

Here is my solution for pocket full of juice issue with the TFV4 TANK. It is a small pipe clamp with a penny cut and filed to size. I used Power Grab adhesive for the trial. I will solder in the next one. (I will up load photo as soon as I find out how)
