Battery venting? What mod were you using?

It's the SnowWolf 200w, it has gotten worse and worse with the power delay, it only hits at half the wattage when it's been standing for 5 mins, then it bumps back up and is fine.. Its got to go, the Segelei 150w temp control is here tomorrow so hopefully I'll be all good again.

Any reason the IPV3 Li was not on the list vs. the 150TC? Or even when you got the Wolf?

Just got my tfv4 today, rushed home to get it, whoohoo

First impressions:
The coils are really massive, like wow big, it dwarfs anything that's out now, including the Starre tank, the rba is the biggest i've ever seen and the machining is buttery smooth as well, the juice channels? huge, the tank feels very well made compared to their past outings, the airflow looks bigger than starre as well

Feel and look wise:
Its like a super saiyan kanger subtank but same size with much bigger coils

Negative from the get go:
The only downside seems to be the o-rings feel kinda cheap

Vaping triple coil now: i vaped it at 40,50,60,70, the tank can get really hot if the air around you isnt cool, Better to vape with ac on, this is in the car with not that much air moving around

Vaping with ac on: much better on higher watts, just tried 80 and 90, cool air moving around the tank, vapor and flavor all better, tank is not as hot, lukewarm at best, will try quad coil later this week, but so far impressed with the coils and features but i have to say...

Vaped it again: vaping at 40watts now with ac on, nice and cool, just the way i like it

Pros:
Best top fill design by far
Many innovative coils to choose from eventually, but seems like quad, rba, ni200 and ti will be the best
Three rba types
Huge airflow
Seems well made

Cons:
Heavy heavy heavy
Will have overhang on 22mm devices
Gets really hot depending on what ur room temperature is, possibly destroy bottom o-ring
needs a lot of power to utilize the triple and quads at max potential imo
O-rings feels cheap and might melt

overall impressed with the tank but i keep finding myself going back down to 40watts with the triple coil, will try the quads this weekend, loving the top refill

Very interesting day, the moto of the story is, research before you buy, I won't go into the technical details but...

VCT5 2015 are 20A max, they are a good battery but then so are the Samsung 25r so your probably better off going with them as they are cheaper and basically do the same job.
VCT4 are also 20A, which was a shock but its a myth they are 30A, they can just be pushed a little further near 30A..
I'm guessing my stupid mod was playing up, thank god it's going tomorrow, my Segelei has been delayed because Vampire Vape were at vapefest so they didn't post it until today.

I tried telling ya...;)

The IPV3 Li is nothing like the 4. Build quality is excellent...zero problems with mine. If you can stand the "old" look, it doesn't get better than this for ~$70.

Just got my tfv4 today surprisingly early

The only downside seems to be the o-rings feel kinda cheap

Vaping triple coil now: 40,50,60,70, flavor is good but for some reason the vapor production is less than my starre... Maybe because i need to go higher but this tank can get hot... Maybe thats how rixstas bottom o ring got messed up, the tank can get really hot if the air around is isnt cool, Better to vape with ac on

I have hit the triple to 150 watts (slowly), more like 130 chain style. You could be correct at 70 watts the vapor may be much lower because the coil is not heating up. I find 95-100 watts about spot on for rolling clouds with a good VG juice.

I want to pick up another mod but I a debating between a new IPV3 Li that is already out the box 200 watts or the SE Snowwolf that wont have the sleep/idle issue.

I bet the Quad coil on TFV could handle 160-170 watts (morbid curiosity :)).

Drift, does the IPV3 Li hiss/rattle snake (pulse) at those wattage's like a Snowwolf does?

Haha, that you did. Nothing wrong with the actual mods, it's the company I don't like.

even at 70... i chain it a few times... it gets really hot... how are you even vaping it at 150... your tank can probably cook an egg..

Eh, it really depends if you're really into the whole glass look. I've gotten to play with the Snow Wolf and I really like them...but my OCD self would not be able to deal with the fingerprints. Love the build quality on these though. The IPV3 Li has been good to me thusfar. I know I haven't had it that long, but the build quality is top notch and it's proven design with a nice chip. I've done the 200w firmware upgrade and everything went very smoothly. Bang for buck goes to the IPV3 Li imo, the design and cool factor definitely go to the Snow Wolf.

I have no clue...I haven't tried the quad at those watts! I'm not insane!

I haven't heard any rattle snakes at higher wattage, though admittedly I haven't gone over 140-150w on the quad. The heat of the vapor is crazy up at those levels! Part of the reason I like the quad head over the triple is the fact that I don't have to crank it up past 80-90w to get a satisfying warm vape.

Haha, that you did. Nothing wrong with the actual mods, it's the company I don't like.

I can totally understand...I def am not in line pre-ordering anything from P4U. Lots of people have gotten burned by them in the past (*cough* IPV4) but usually their later revisions are rock solid and well priced, so I can't argue.

So I ended up trying my (.10 ohm Ni200) vertical build today and I'm liking it quite a bit. Really easy to build a vertical coil on this with nickel.

Admittedly, on my first go at this, I had a big leak. I opened her back up and pulled the wicks closer into the juice channels and added a bit of cotton to where that left a void and she feeds perfectly now. I guess I'm too used to Kayfun builds where covering the tiny juice channels was a no-no :w00t:. Don't be afraid of using too much wick...this RBA section can handle it.

The vape is cooler (being a temp control build after all) but still very enjoyable.

Even at 40-50watts chain vaping... It gets hot... I need ac blowing at the tank for it to cool down lols

BTW, it's leaking (pouring) from the side air flow until it gets to just under half full if anyone have any suggestions.

I figured out my rba leaking problem. It may have been two-fold.
1. I was missing the chimney o-ring. I must have lost it when I changed from the quad coil to the rba; and/or
2. I re-wicked the coil making sure to wick the cotton down into the juice channels.

Number 1 maybe a solution for those with leaking problems using the coil heads. I searched pictures to see if the chimney had an o-ring on it. The first few didn't but then I ran across a few that did. I don't know if mine came with an o-ring already installed or not. I'm thinking the chimney o-ring is must with the single rba.

Yep, 100% positive my leaking problem was because the chimney o-ring got separated when I changed from the quad coil to the rba. I just found it in the kitchen sink. Luckily, I hadn't cooked since changing. I would have definitely lost it had I cooked. Lol

I almost installed without it earlier but I knew I was missing something. It's small and it's clear....they really shoulda provided spares.

Just had a really good yet simple vape using Capella's Boston Cream flavour, mixed it at 15% 80vg, 20pg in the TFV4 tank and omg, it is just amazing. Next is a Pina Colada I have been experimenting with, this dam coil just brings flavour. Going to try the rba again today with some 22g and a thicker wick over the juice holes.. I'm loving this tank..Should be getting the Segelei 150w TC today too.. Happy vaping..

I also picked up some Samsung 25r to test against these new 2015 VCT5's so I can finally see for myself how they perform under load.

Just to add, when I go and see Bill today, (he knows his batteries, nice to have you back in town bro) he has some VCT4's too, time to put this to bed, for me anyway, it's bugging me.

These all do fine in my OG Sig 150, I have used 25R, SubOhm Cell, LG 4 LG 2, VTC 4 / "New 5", XTAR...Efist haha

The only ones that I did not do great was the XTAR, for some reason they just sucked and the new Efest Dark Purple really sucked but never had an issue with early light purple from spring time, but 25R's do great and I'm stocked up. I have some new models on the way to try later this week.

Mooch on the hardware threads does great battery testing reviews..
