Right behind you...
I read something about those only being 20A batteries I think

AWT doesn't make batteries, they make wrappers with incorrect ratings printed on them to go around LG and Samsung batteries.

Does anyone have this tank yet ?
Ive seen some reviews on it, You can do triple or quad coils to.

Get a 5 pack of triple coils and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. If you can't afford to change a coil every 6 days if you chain vape, then this isn't a tank for you no matter the coil. They all last longer than all coils I've used on any other tank btw

Are Samsung INR18650-25R 18650 2100mAh 3.6v Flat Tops safe for 200W VW boxes? I hear different things about the safety for tbe average high wattage mod. Please, your insight would be great. Thanks

I prefer the quads to the triple or sixtuple

They'll be fine. Regulated 200w mods have amp limit protection that is below the pulse limit of the "good" 20 amp batteries on the market (LG, Samsung, Sony) and odds are you'll never get anywhere near 200 watts anyway.

The Clapton coils are listed at 30-90 Watts and I read somewhere that their "sweet spot" was 80 Watts, but if I go anywhere North of 40-45 Watts I get extremely hot vapor and a burnt flavor. I'm using an XCube 2. Am I doing something wrong? I would think I'm just sensitive to hot vapor if it weren't for the burnt taste, but with both I'm not so sure. Any help here would be appreciated.

Hate to sound condescending, but did you prime the coil and let it sit for a bit in a full tank before vaping?
No worries. Yes I did prime it beyond the recommendations. As you know, it doesn't have cotton wicking holes in the side so I could only prime it from the top, but I even stuck the dropper down into the hole and kind of spun it around while squeezing to get the sides, then I let it sit for 5 minutes in a full tank before I hit it. I've tried it with three different coils, so it's not a faulty unit. I like taking long hits, so it could be that I'm just sucking on it too long and the coil gets too hot, I don't know. If I crank up the watts to 80 and just hit it for 2-3 seconds then it's not bad, but I like a long pull and a big cloud, which is impossible for my throat to stand at 80 Watts, not to mention the flavor is like drinking water that's been used to put out charcoal after a cookout.

I'm experimenting with it as I type this. When I up the time on the pull to 4-5 seconds, I start to get the burnt taste and the vapor gets extremely hot. I'm able to hit the new Aspire Triton Clapton coils for 8-10 seconds within the recommended wattage range with no problem. Now, that's 40-45 watts, so it may not be an apt comparison, but with the size difference between the two and lower ohms of the Smok coil, you would expect it would require/handle higher wattages. The Atom Vapes gClapton works fine for longer hits, too. The only problem with them is I had three of them come apart in the middle when I unscrewed my Atlantis to refill it. Those only go in the Triton 2 now. :thumb:

This tank is awesome as it has replaced my subtank mini's and atlantis v2 as my main tank for the last 2 weeks. I have only used the rba but when built with a vertical coil it rocks. Ordered the dual coil rba for and gonna try making a vertical dual coil for this beast. Huge clouds and tons of flavor to boot. No leaking for now until those o rings get worn out.

Oh, I'm not knocking the tank. With the Clapton coil at 40-50 watts it performs very well. I'm just saying that the stated top end of 90 watts is a bit beyond where mine will produce a good vapor. I'm not a huge fan of all the coils, but the Clapton and the titanium TC coils work VERY well. The TFV4 also produces clouds that none of my other tanks can touch. I just take issue with their statement that it's good from 30-90 watts. 30-60 is more realistic in my experience, with 60 producing very hot vapor and a slightly burnt flavor. 80-90 watts is just unbearable. I guess I'll just stick to the middle ground on wattage and enjoy it for what it is.

Taste is subjective. I like running the Clapton at 75 watts that is my sweet spot. I think a lot of that depends on your juice high vg or high pg. If it is fruit or a custard or tobacco? I have tried the triple the quad the sextuple and now the Clapton. When the T8 comes out I am sure I will give that a whirl. What's nice about this tank there should be a coil or RBA that fits every body's taste.:rickroll:

I have the TFV4 Mini and I run the Clapton CLP2 but it has a weird funny rubbery taste to it. I feel like there's something wrong with the premades because I tried two of the premade CLP2s, Anyone else having the same problem? It's taste is muted and it has a funny taste to it which is completely different from that of what a atty or my sense herakles tastes like.

What are you vaping at?

I am just trying out the .15 coil on mine and trying to find the right adjustment with my IPV3 Li is somewhat difficult but right now at 45.5 watts it has flavor and vape coming out kind of nice so far. Never used the pre mades before the new mod. What wattage is everyone else vaping at?

I have the 0.35 dual Claptons running at 40-50w if I go any higher it has a burnt taste. At 40-50w there isn't enough vapor production and flavor seems muted, which is sad because my Herakles at 0.5 dual coils can hit 70w without strong throat hit and tons of flavor and vapor.

Maybe a bad batch of coils? I have the same Claptons and run my custard at 73 watts. Did you break them in? Do you have another mod to try the tank on?
