Went to bed last night and it worked fine. Woke up this morning and it's acting up. Battery is at 91% but it won't fire unless it's plugged in to a charger. Once it's off the charge the screen is blank and won't come on at all.

I replaced the battery to see if it was that and same problem. Took the top off and screwed it back on. My guess is it's the wires but the top doesn't come completely off of mine and I don't want to tug on the top and snap any wires, with no screws it kind of just floats on the top.

Does anyone have any experience with this? And if so how hard can I pull on that top to remove it before I break something permanently. If it matters when I'm re screwing the allen keys I'm getting a spark which I'm interpreting as having some sort of charge in there but its just not coming on.

Check out this video, at about the 20 minute mark he shows how to swap the fire button and in the process removes the whole PC board. Very easy to do based on the video.

Yeah you have to pop out the fire button, then it slides right out. Slide it out with the button side facing down though as the remaining 2 buttons will fall right out if you don't and they are easy to loose. I have an m50 that's prone to problems it was doing all kinds of weird stuff. When you get the PC board out, check the solder spots where the red and white wires come into the board. They are really close together and if the black insulation silicone stuff on the solder joints is a bit off, you will get some shorts there. I had to add some hot glue in between those two wires to get mine right, and it seemed to have fixed the issues with it. Also when you look at it you will see that the board has some play in it as it fits kind of loosely in the case. When you drop it, or bump it, you can cause it to short if those points aren't insulated properly. The mod relies on the case itself to complete the negative connection from the battery, which can cause issues. The fix for that is to sand off the chome plating from the inside of the bottom plate, where it makes contact with the negative side of the battery. Honestly, these mods are kinda a PITA, and I personally don't trust them that much. I quit using mine and picked up an ipv mini instead. I took it apart as well, just to see how well it's built, and it's built like a tank.
