What we fail to recognise is that had Joe, as a smoker, discovered e-cigarettes when that article was written in Apr 2007 then he would have probably replaced the words 'second-hand smoke' with the word 'vapour', and transferred the context to safer alternatives for smokers. The anti-plot goes along the exact same route as he describes in his paper.
Has anyone thought of trying to bring Joe in as another high profile convert?

I liked Joe's music, but I have a new respect for him. No. 6 is classic-

"6. The smoking ban is hypocritical. tobacco remains legal and the Treasury makes around £10 billion per year from taxing it. And, incidentally, there is a smoker-friendly bar in the House of Commons."
