Well, I am making some significant progress in my journey to end my addiction to coffin nails. I smoked 2 packs a day for nearly 20 years (Marlboro mediums).

I began vaping about 2 months ago. My wife bought me a Vaporfi Rebel II. Initially, it worked very well for me and I immediately cut my habit down to 5-6 analogs a day (1st thing in am, after lunch and dinner and before bedtime). After about a week, the newness of the rebel II wore down and I found myself craving more analogs. I started with 12mg nicontene, so I upped my level to 24. I found that I was burning coils out rapidly because I was hitting the rebel II nearly all day trying to get my fix. I also blew through 2-3 18650 batteries per day.

In an effort to try and keep a good thing going and more importantly, to try and fulfill my cravings for analogs, I ordered a Sigelei 100+ and a Kanger Subtank Mini. I had read that you need to drop nic levels way down on these, so I ordered 6mg. I was still hitting this more than I felt like I should have too. I had plenty of juices with nicontene at level 24, so I said what the heck, I'll see what happens.

Like majic, I think I found what it will take for me to lay down the analogs forever. With the Sigelei at 18 watts, the 1.2 ohm coil, and level 24 nicotine, I feel satisfied and only have to hit it a few times and hour.
I still have 1 analog a day, I have trouble hitting this setup first thing in the morning when I wAke up, which is usually my strongest craving of the day. Once I figure out how to get around that, I'll be done for good.

I guess my point is, don't give up if what you read isn't working for you. Keep trying different things, you may just find something that works.

Absolutely! I've been vaping for 2.5 years now and I'm still not completely off the analogs yet. I still smoke 3-4 a day, but considering I used to smoke 2 packs a day, sometimes more depending on stress levels, it's a significant improvement!

I've been through a lot of changes in my vaping routine too. I started with a simple V2 starter kit and quickly grew out of that. I was at 6mg with those and went through the prefilled cartos very quickly. I up'ed my nic to 18mg and bought a few clearos and that helped immensely. I broke down the summer of '14 and pretty much quit vaping. I still had all my gear and juice but the analogs were just more satisfying and to be completely honest, more convenient. However, that fall I decided that I really needed to cut the analogs and set my mind to improving my vaping experience. I bought an iStick and a couple of Nautilus Mini's and that was my breakthrough. I lowered my nic to 12mg. For some reason the juice tasted better, not sure if it was the nic reduction but I've recently been vaping some 6mg juice that I recieved as part of a trade in the PIF swap section here and noticed that the flavor of that juice was even better. So logic kinda dictates that the flavor actually is better at a lower nic. However, I go through a helluva lot more juice at 6mg which is to be expected, I guess  I bounce back and forth from 6mg and 12mg juices now depending on my level of craving.

You got it right though, keep trying different things until you find what works and don't give up! I'm going to try and decrease my analogs by 1 each month and hopefully be analog free by the end of the year!

What worked for me in the mornings was to find a "morning vape". I have one flavor that I only vape in the "just got up" mornings, and after a while I don't vape it the rest of the day. What this did for me was make me look forward to the morning vape. It was like I think, "ok, cool I get my blueberry muffin."

Another technique I used was to keep a cheap clearo/tank of high nic handy. Then when I felt like the "itch" couldn't get scratched I would hit it once then go back to the regular nic level. I used this same technique to lower my nic in steps to almost zero. It usually only took 3 days to a week to get adjusted.

Good luck in your vape journey, you CAN do it.

My morning vape was Hangsen RY6 in 24mg. This did the trick. I never vaped it again for 2+ years, then decided to buy some 3 months ago. Now I vape it at 6mg, but at 3 times the power! :)

Thanks for the encouragement and the feedback. I would certainly consider this to be huge progress. Within 5 days, I noticed I could smell things I haven't been able to smell in years and I actually feel better overall.

I make sure that I have some several extra charged 18650's and plenty of juice in my vehicle and home, lol.. I have found that with the Sigelei, my batteries go really far. I really like it because I work long shift, and all have to do I carry an extra set, pop them in and I am ready to go without delay.

I also picked up a Russian 91%v2 when I got the Sigelei and I just ordered a Veritas dripper that arrives Monday. I figured this would be a great way to spend my cig money. I use the Kanger tank 75% of the time and the Russian when I want a different flavor during the day. I must say, that I do like the Russian.

I am sorry that we got ripped a new one by Vaporfi, but I must admit that I wouldn't have had any hope for kicking the habit had it not been for the Rocket II. She had bought me a little aspire vw device a year ago and that thing was a joke. I never used it and thought trying to use vaping as a way to quite wasn't an option. When I got the rocket, I realized that hey, this just might do the trick.
