Threads like this make this forum a fun place to hang out. For all tin-hat theorists, here is little something (… sorry, Innotec is not related to PM or BT in any way).
From the facts I was able to gather, SFI is trying to make itself be perceived as an inventor and bigger-than-they-are company. But their associations, history and deals are immature‘ish, to say the least.
Little background info first:
Formed in NV back in ’95 as subchapter-s corp (inc) and was suspended by the State in 1997, due to failure to file corp docs. The company was reinstated in March of 2002, approximately the same time Ruyan filed for its first patent. In October of 2004 SFI began trading on OTC under SFIO with 150K authorized capital (150 mil shares with $0.001 par value). To make long story short, they ended up selling 130 mil shares, which resulted in 130k of capital. During the last 2 years, they have been active in forming various partnerships, mostly in Europe, including manufacturing, distribution and packaging.
Now to the part we all want to know - ” what is it?”
Regardless of the rumors you’ve heard, it is an electronic cigarette (it even says so on the pack). Just like any other e-cig out there. The only difference in their product is that components are manufactured by various entities (ie battery, cart and atomizer). My guess, it’s a price move, quality control move or combination of both. As far as I can tell, this is their plan.
Carts:
Will be manufactured by AHN Biotechnologie in Germany. This company is well known for its disposable laboratory plastic supply. They offer a wide variety of filter tips, ultra low retention tips and filter micro plates. Likely reason for this relationship is that AHN produces filter (wicking material) “in compliance with the rules of the European Community and conform with the recommendations of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment and the US Food and Drug Administration GRAS (generally recognized as safe)”
Packaging:
Struck a deal with The Funbox Company. The design will feature a packaging of the filters, which will have the same dimensions of a standard pack of cigarettes, but having been adapted to blister pack the mouthpieces. Another words, they are trying to control cost/quality of “usable” elements (carts & liquid)
Pricing:
50$ for the starter kit (chargers with high-capacity battery, and white stick). Separate sticks should also be available in a 1 or 2 pack. Filter pack of 20 will be higher priced than conventional pack. For instance: Pack of 20 Marlboro Red in Belgium: 7$ Pack of 20 SFI filters: 8$.
This info is very important, it relates to their core principle. SFI is not going after e-cigarette market, but rather the refills. It is the reason they are using Germans to manufacture carts. I suspect the “patent” SFI constantly refers to is for the “filter” and “white stick” component of the device.
Batteries & Attys
Not surprisingly, I could not find any info at all, other than images and text below. My guess, they are looking for the cheapest ..... in China. From business prospective, as long as Chinese can keep up with production and have descent QC over the batt and atty, anyone will work, so ultimately the price will be considered.
Flavor:
They are getting their flavors from Bell Flavors & Fragrances in Germany. Just happens to be next door to AHN Biotechnologie

Patent:
07009545.0-2313
Rouchless, Inc
European Patent Office - Germany
Title "Smoking Device, charging means and method or using it"
Their Product Spec Sheet
http://www.rauchless.com/product.pdf
The SFI 'smokeless cigarette' provides the smart smoker her or his accustomed delight without smoldering tobacco and therefore without irritating bystanders with second hand smoke.
When the smoker starts ‘smoking’ he takes the ‘smokeless cigarette’, casually inserts a filter in the stick or ‘Zig’ and takes her or his first drag. A sensor signals the consequent ‘under-pressure’ to a mini processor unit in the cigarette and a spiral is instantly heating up. Thus the device starts warming up incoming air the moment the smoker starts inhaling. The heated air evaporates the tobacco solution and aroma at exactly the right temperature within the filter and then the mix is inhaled by the smoker without any harmful or annoying by-products.
Other relevant facts:
In June of this year, SFI struck a distribution deal with Netherlands-based Verkoop Centrale van Tabakproducten. Coincidently, VCT is an independent player in the tobacco industry in the Benelux and manufacturer of 13 cigarette brands. My guess is they are trying to get the first tobacco player with hopes that others will follow. IMO this strategy will fail.
Also in June, SFI agreed with US based SENCO to distribute its products in US. SENCO is a papa-mama operation in Florida, paddling some China exports into US. It is important to note that any self-respecting entity with half-way decent business plan would not associate with small timers like SENCO.
