At two packs a day, the cig sized jobbies would never work for me lol. I kinda figured you still smoked. Not an insult or anything, just from my experience, I don't see anyone who really smoked quite a bit being satisfied with the green smoke or a blu, or anything that size for any considerable amount of time. Thanks for answering big guy.

Just to clarify in case I forgot to say. I have a SmokeStik and a 510 manual. I also have a 510 extended bat. I don't have an eGo.

The battery life on my SS batteries is consistently better than my 510 batteries.

The draw on the SS is perfect and on the 510 it is a little airy. (I have another brand of auto too and it's way too airy. I have to plug one of the holes to make it better) I've tried slow draw and faster draw and the results are the same.

I currently get much more vapor AND flavor from my SS with it's carto than I do a 510 with it's atty/cart USING THE EXACT SAME juice. I've even tried dripping the 510 and get better vapor and flavor with my SS. (although.. to be honest.. I'm have a little bit of trouble getting the hang of dripping)

Finally, I gave my daughter a SS Royale (same battery w/ atty and cart).. and a 510 to try out for a week. She's about a one PAD smoker, maybe a little less. She kept the SmokeStik and gave me back the 510. She liked the feel and vapor of the SS and the blingy crystal on the end didn't hurt. I paid $99 for the SS Royale at the time. But it was well worth it for my daughter to get to try it out and pick the SS.

That about sums up my reasons.

On a certain level I somewhat agree with Hy. The initial investment for an ecig model is somewhat irrelevant to me. If it is $50 or $100 i do not care much. In the big scheme of things you need something you LIKE to use.

With that said, a heavy smoker, like 1.5 packs, is unlikely to be satisfied long term with a SS because most people will tire of recharging their batteries 24/7. In addition people that want/need strong hits with choose a 3 piece model to use the atomizer for dripping or a cart for a few good puffs.

The taste of a 510 is different than a 4081. I believe this has to do with the amount of vapor. i know that he is saying a ton of vapor. It is clearly less, in my view. it is certainly less than an EGO. However, i still puff on my 4081 for taste quite often.

I just wish there was a fairly cheap way for everyone to try a decent sized mod that has never used one. Totally different ball game imo. Especially if someone is having trouble setting the analogs down while vaping. I've been in the shoes of someone using a 2 pc and super mini. It's rough. While I agree that it has it's place(out for dinner or movies), to go day in day out with one is just being rough on yourself. If anything get a mod for around the house. I know for a fact getting a mod saved me from giving up and buying a pack of analogs again.

Well for me, I never bought e-cigs with the intention of really quitting anyway. And I don't plan on quitting e-cigs ever. I enjoy my nicotine, I just don't want to kill myself in the process of enjoying it. I wanted to reduce the amount of real cigarettes I smoked as much as possible due to health and monetary concerns, but I didn't "give up" or "give in" to buy a pack of cigarettes. My girlfriend smokes, and whenever she's around, I end up smoking a cigarette or two. Then over time, I end up smoking a pack's worth of her cigarettes, so I go and buy her a pack. I didn't buy any packs for myself. I probably should have clarified that earlier.

I'm not too concerned about cheap mods. I just wish that there was more transparency, meaning that the branded e-cigs would list what model they are. Of course they're not going to because they want you to keep going to them for business so they can get their jacked up profits. I just wish it wasn't that way. Because the way it is now, it can be a pain to find replacement parts and do comparison shopping.

I don't really see anybody who smokes a pack a day or more being satisfied for long with a super mini either. I'm happy with my blu, but recharging batteries is still a pain in the ..., so that I can understand. That's why I don't really recommend it to anybody either because I smoke less than every other smoker I know. But I will definitely say that I'm happy with it. I'm just even more happy with my 510 because of the vapor production and battery length.

I started on a 4081, luckily paid very little for it through eBay (with lots of carts $40). I was a 3 PAD smoker for over 43 years. I changed out batteries every hour or so and had to change carts constantly. But, the feel of smoking was there but it was too much work. I then came to ECF after I saw the possibilities with the 4081. I bought a 510 from China and before it got here bought a 510 passthrough. On my third day I just stopped smoking period. It wasn't intentional, it just happened. Then the 510 kit came and it was once again a hassle to change out the batteries every 2 hours. I bought a Riva and haven't looked back. I also bought an eGo 900mah. I get the hit I need, the battery life is really good and there is no way that I can go back to analogs. There is no Need for me to. Occasionally the old habit of thinking about lighting up after a meal or something comes on, but then I just pick up a PV and all is good! :)

I stopped with trying to find a tobacco-like juice within a week. Who wants to suck on a dirty ashtray or something that tastes like fresh plants (Wyatt Earp). So I have my desserts and bakery juices and I'm in vaping heaven. :)

I do miss the automatic feature of the 4081, especially when driving and with the help of a wonderful ECF member will be trying out a kr808d-1 shortly. I also think it might be a good match for a friend of mine and want to see if it will work for her. Her birthday will be here in a little over a month. She's a light smoker and I just can't see her fiddling around too much with a PV and I think it might help her to start quitting. If she wants to explore it passed that, she has me and of course I'll recommend her to come to ECF.

Best of luck! :)

How long have you been smoke free Magnus? Just wondering. I'd like to get an idea of how much people smoked that can actually get by using these smaller models. For me, they just couldn't cut the mustard lol. Always seemed like I was taking an eternal drag to get a somewhat satisfying hit. Try that on my Kaji journeyman lol, you'll have to go the hospital. About a 1 to 1.5 second drag and you exhale a thick cloud.

Good question to magnus! When I read someone recommending a Blu or Smokestix with auto batteries, it has to make you wonder. I don't see those type of recommendations from members who have been doing this for over a year, have tried 7-12 different models, different atomizers, cartomizers, etc. Combine that with the hundreds and hundreds of post stating the same thing that "Blu doesn't get it done", I don't see the point in not directing new members to better options.

i also started with blu and sent back their product within 2 weeks of the 30 day trial primarily because there are allot of better products out there. i narrowed it down to the point were it is all about the model of the particular type of e-cig that you are purchasing. right now i am using a joye510 and i got some awsome e-liquids (lovin the waffle and cheesecake).

I have come to realization or at least i think i have found out that most brands are buying and selling there products for a more expensive price, for instance i got my current joye510 from the 1st link and i can see the same exact one on a different website (2nd link) for cheaper!! it angered me at first but hey what you gonna do? i am not exactly sure if there is a difference but from what i can tell they are the exact same model therefor i have been swindled due to the persuasiveness of MistressNomads's recent post for I made a video for broke newbs!(3rd link) lol soon as i saw all her vid's and recommendations i took her for a honest and smart person, wether or not she was aware of this i don't care. perhaps i will discuss it with her and the owner of electronicstix and if i truly feel this is the case i shall expose them to the best of my abilities. Hope i helped :)

i have been swindled
First of all, prices change all the time, but wait there's more...

1) The starter kit from ElectroNicStix has one standard battery and one mega battery
1) The starter kit from MyEcigSupply has two standard batteries only

2) The shipping from ElectroNicStix is $6.00
2) The shipping from MyEcigSupply is $17.00 because it is in China

3) The mega battery and shipping pretty much makes up for the $13 difference in price

Of course, you could pay the cheap shipping from China without EMS for only $10 if you want.
And then you might get it in a few weeks or a month.

just got ss's in the mail...included 2 pitbulls (didn't buy...was a trade) first time trying ss's....i like em....and they are all so pretty...:)

Yeah, i want one also. According to what I have read on the Pitbull, the battery specs are essentially the same except as standard Hendu et al, but it is a 280 mah instead of 180 mah...

I follow the Beta thread some to see how things are going with it...

First of all, it's Magus, not Magnus. There is no N in my name. Secondly, I never said there was anything wrong with telling someone to get something other than a Blu. I even said myself that I prefer the 510 due to price, battery longevity, and juice capacity. However, the blu tastes a lot better. And it doesn't matter how long I've been vaping. I'm not gonna suddenly hate the blu one day because I've been doing this longer... The fact that I don't like people bashing the crap out of the blu and telling everyone to send it back, as opposed to helping them get the best out of it(which is what they're always asking for, and they already know it can be sent back, so telling them this does NO good whatsoever).

And anyway, it's not my fault people are too dumb, lazy, or impatient to figure out how to use the blu properly... I haven't recommended the blu to anybody, and I won't for the reasons I already stated. But I refuse to agree that it's a POS like everybody says it is because from my own personal experience, it is NOT.

Just because I'm relatively new to something, that does not mean I have no idea what I'm talking about. Obviously those who say the blu doesn't make good vapor and doesn't hit with any consistency don't know what they're talking about, because mine does. And as I said, I never recommended a blu to anybody anyway. But if someone wants a super mini, and the choice is between those two, I'd go with the blu based on price alone(at least if you're buying the branded smokestik) as that's all I have to go on. I haven't used a smoke stik so I can't comment on it, but I CAN comment on how the blu is NOT as bad as most make it out to be. Also, from what I've observed, the general consensus around here seems to be that all super minis are worthless... So while you wouldn't want to spend ANY money on something worthless, I'd be willing to bet that you'd rather waste 60 dollars instead of 100. Maybe I'm wrong though, who knows?

And I find it incredibly ironic that my advice means nothing because I'm new to vaping, but what about the fact that most people who hate on blu barely used it at all before sending it back? I'm more experienced with the L88B model than those people, yet somehow my opinion on the device isn't valid? Not only that, but things change over time, and for some, the last time an L88b was touched was a long time ago. I still use mine today, so I'm pretty sure I know a thing or two about them.

Oh, and by the way, the auto batteries from Volcano work just fine. They don't get set off by noises, or it takes a lot more noise to do it(I'm not sure which, but I haven't been able to set it off by dropping or yelling at it like I can with my blu batteries). In fact, the Volcano auto batteries work BETTER than the Joye 510 auto batteries...

"Better options" depends on the user, by the way, and the blu gets it done just fine. I'd still rather go with a 510 because it works better and costs less. I just wish the atty gave a flavor more like the blu's.

I hear ya magus. Do your thing.

But I swear you'd love taking a drag off of my Kaji Journeyman lol. The thing is a beast, and you only have to mess with it everyother day. It's really the future of vaping imo. Once they get the size down on self juicers they will probably take over. When I got this thing a couple of months ago I was simply amazed at what a diff experience it was. Everyone should have one lol. It should be a law.

Taker easy dude.
