I caught that, too, and left this comment:

It is untrue that an electronic cigarette "emits a vapor-like smoke." Perhaps the reporter meant to say “a smoke-like vapor.” E-cigarettes use the same chemical as artificial fog machines to create the illusion of smoke. Nothing is burned, ergo there is no smoke

I just watched the video. Other than the "vapor-like smoke" comment, it actually wasn't too bad. The doctor who had a soundbite said that nicotine has its own health risks, but that this does reduce your intake of carcinogens. On balance, that's about as good as it gets for media coverage.
