I fire my Pico at 22.5 Watts and I do not care what the recommended wattage is or what they say it can handle. On my alien and the Baby Beast I went 10,00 puff running at 30 or so watts. Makes not difference how high you can go it is where the sweet spot for you is. I like a smooth cool vape and although I do fire some coils at 100 watts and 360°F and some at 500° I still get the same vape for me.

What tanks did you use before? If you still have them, you might be able to use them on the pico. It is just a device after all.

I'm a toodle puffer (which means I like my vaping to be similar to smoking). On just about every tank I have I need to 1.) turn the wattage down on the device to like 8-10 watts. 2.) use the highest ohm coil available usually over 1.0 ohm. 3.) turn the airflow down to just the smallest possible. This works with some tanks but not with others.

You might want to try closing the air flow down on the Melo.

My coughing was bad when I first started. What helped me was to stop inhaling so much vapor. The nic is efficiently absorbed through membranes in the mouth and nose, so I'd hold it then exhale through my nose. Worked. I got a nic buzz.

Drink tons of water. That can't be stressed enough. Your lungs are clearing the cigarette junk out and staying well hydrated will keep your cough productive. Deep breathing in a steamy shower also helped me.

Vaping simulates smoking but it's not the same. There's still a transition involved for some that requires a will to quit.

You mentioned a headache. My head would hurt when I was congested due to seasonal allergies. Trying an antihistamine is easy. It's spring.

let me make an assumption here... I'll bet when you first started vaping you were not using some hi powered vape... something more on the level of tootle puffin, a low level vape producing item. And now you return to vaping on a hi powered device expecting to be able to handle the vape after not doing it... vaping is not like smoking, its different and it takes time for the body to acclimate to it even again even tho you did it before... :)

I don't really know how to answer that. I had spinners and a couple of vv/vw devices. So it wasn't like the gas station puff and pitch ones, but that doesn't mean I was using them correctly lol. It's not with every hit that I have problems....just more often than I remember the 1st time around. Actually, the one time I did try a cigarette style one I hacked my lungs off and it tasted terrible.
