I just bought a new ecig starter pack and extras (cartridges, liquid nicotine etc.) at a mall. I had to replace the battery twice and atomizer once while I was in the U.S. over a three day period. I am now in Canada and can't get an inhale to start the ecig vapours unless I cover the small hole between the battery and atomizer and even then, only get a small drag. Also, the cartridge filled with the 3 drops of liquid as recommended only lasts about 10 inhales when I actually do get this to work. Does anyone have any experience with this brand "smoking everywhere" that can help me get my unit to work?

I called the kiosk at the mall and they said to contact the manufacturer. I called the company, emailed them and have received no return call or email. I am loving the idea of this ecig however, I may have just lost $300 (unit plus all the extras as I bought a lot).

Thanks!

First, Welcome Aboard and sorry to hear about your troubles but you are not alone. There have been more than a few complaints about e-cigs purchased from malls and there are a lot of crap units out there.

My suggestion would be to purchase one of the best selling and most reliable units out there, either a two piece unit like the KR808D-1 or a 3-piece one like the Joye 510. Someone else will recommend the best place to purchase the KR8 model, but I would highly recommend the Joye 510 starter kit from Cignot.com (out of stock until Friday) for only $35 + $5 for shipping.

It's so unfortunate that there are so many crap units being sold by greedy sellers charging way too much for such junk. I would also suggest that you grab a hot or cold beverage of your choice and read, read and read some more here on the ECF forums to learn everything you can about e-cigs so you can make a much better and well informed decision about a better purchase and you won't be disappointed.

Good luck and I hope everything works out for the better!

Thank you ShortStuff! I was hoping that I wasn't scammed however, I actually enjoy the ecig more than my own cigarettes and would like to convert permanently (despite smoking a pack a day). I don't want to quit, I merely enjoy the smoking aspect of it all and the vapours are much more pleasant. What's another 50 bucks or so when I've already dished out more than I should have. If that unit you suggested works, then maybe I can at least use the nicotine liquid and cartridges I bought. Thanks again!

Agreed...thankfully enough while waiting for my SE trial I found this site. I refused the package and was refunded my money (all but the 9.95 trial which my credit card company promptly refunded for me). Unfortunately SE is a hard lesson to learn. I would agree that you should purchase a 510 open box set from cignot. The ladies at cignot have excellent products and quick shipping (although I don't know if they deliver to canada)...

Sorry that SE bit you...there are a lot of people here that have had the same experience and it sucks. On the plus side...you found ECF and a lot of good options when it comes to e-cigs.

AOKreative, I noticed that you are also in Canada. Do you mind me asking where you got the 510 kit? Did you order it online and they delivered to Canada? Yes, I realize now I have been scammed. I am happy to have found this forum and albeit too late for my own stupidity in not researching this first however, I am determined to make the switch from real cigarettes. This vaping thing is sooooo much more enjoyable!! I'll be on the hunt now for this 510 kit.

If you have the SE "GOLD", it is not a bad model, just sold by them (and many others) at highly inflated prices. It is an RN4081 and parts can be had for much less, e.g., Liberty Flights (US or UK), CigVapor.net (various colors and a PCC), DietSMOKES, or AquaVapor's "Deuce II" (and a PCC) … and, from China: AnyCig or Heaven Gifts (atomizer and carts only). For more information, explore ECF's RN 4081 *Super Mini* model-specific sub-forum.

I purchased mine online. At HappVaper.com. Jack (the owner) is terrific when it comes to newbies. You can email him any questions you have. That, combined with this site, totally helped me figure everything out beforehand.

My first unit was the Smoking Everywhere. The mouth piece is made up of two parts. The inner cart and the outer cart.

*While doing the following refilling procedure you may get some ejuice on your hands. This will not harm you. Just keep a paper towel handy and wipe it off if it bothers you. Or you could wear gloves.

Some times after refilling carts they might leak a bit of juice on inhalation into your mouth. This tastes bad, but again will not harm you unless you drink about 1ml which is about 3 times what the inner cart on this model will hold.
If you can, just spit it out.

Exposure to small amounts of the ejuice will not hurt an adult. Keep it away from children and pets, what won't hurt you may very well make them very sick or cause death.

*If you order some liquid that is of a higher concentration >40mg/ml all the way up to 100mg/ml this stuff will hurt you and needs to be diluted before vaping down to a safe level. Wear gloves and saftey goggles when handling.
Clean up spills immediately.

HOW TO REFILL YOUR SMOKING EVERYWHERE (SE) CARTRIDGE

When empty remove the inner cart by poking through the little hole on the end of the outer cart (mouth piece) with a paper clip. Remove the stuffing from the inner cart with tweezers.

Fill inner cart about 2/3rd's full with juice. Place the stuffing back into the cart and push it down into the liquid until the liquid is over the top of the stuffing. This fully saturates the stuffing with the liquid. Let the stuffing soak about 30 seconds and then using your tweezers pull the stuffing up just even with the top of the inner cart.

Now drip directly on to the top of the stuffing, one drop at a time. Do this until the stuffing stops absorbing the liquid. If it looks like you put to much on just dab it with a paper towel.

Now place the inner cart into outer cart and push it in with your finger until even with outer cart. Using your paper clip or tweezers on the edge of the inner cart push it into outer cart until fully inserted.

Congrats, you just refilled your first cart!

The Smoking Everywhere (SE) is a RN4081 style ecig. You already paid way to much for it, as did I at the time so don't order any replacement batteries, attys, carts from them or you'll be paying to much again.

There is a ton of info on this forum about maintenance for ecigs, cleaning as well as modifying ecigs. Pretty much all the things that will work for 510s, 401s, will work for the RN4081.

I too was out $178.61usd on a SE unit, I used it for two days and thought it was a great concept if the thing would vape regularly. I found this forum and promptly ordered a 510, and life has been great since then, at least they would sell you juice there they would only sell carts at the one down here in Houston.

The one thing that I have yet to figure out is the sell carts with "vitamins"
do you actually get any uptake of these? and why does no one else seem to sell juice like this? I had some ginseng that was pretty tasty and they fruit with multi-vitamin was pretty good as well

Since the OP already made the mistake of buying an SE product, I know you are trying to help them, which is great on your part.

But no one should have to go through this much work to vape. The SE, Blu, etc are just plain and simple "crap" PV's that should be sold as $10 disposables.

And to the OP, sorry for all of your problems. You are definitely not alone in being sucked in by slick advertizing/selling of a vastly inferior product. As others have suggested, I would get a 510 if it must look similar to a cigarette or if you want to get a PV that comes the closes in performance to the actual "feeling" of smoking, then get one on this list that you like but defintely read reviews after you have narrowed it down:

http://www.e-savuke.com/ecig_mods.htm

You will find there is much less hassle with many of these in the long run and the batteries are much less expensive and last 5 times longer.

The refill procedure for most other devices (except the 40x models) is easier because there is not an inner cart, other than that it is the same as my instructions for the RN4081. These instructions may let this person get some use out of her SE while awaiting what ever she decides to order.

I have found that the RN4081 compares in performance equally to a 401/510. I don't know anything about the Blu model. What makes the SE brand prohibitive is the cost these mall kiosks charge.

The Q brand 510 disposable has received rave reviews here on the ECF. They are tough to get as they sell out really fast at a cost of around ten U.S. dollars. My personal experience with this unit is that it is almost as good as the Joye 510 and is a great way to try the 510 to see if you like it before buying a full kit. Yesterday Madvapes had some instock as well as Litecig.

They come with a rechargable battery, usb charger, atomizer and 3 pre filled carts. Some people claim to have recharged these as many times as 20. The mfg promises a minimum of 3 charges. I'm on recharge #6 and still going strong.

I think the 4081 is the beginner's mistake that everyone makes before they move on to quality PVs. I got mine almost 2 years ago, but luckily I bought it off of ebay for a hell of a lot less than what SE charges. I was totally unsatisfied with it, and went back to smoking regular tobacco within a couple days.

I recently decided to give vaping another go and actually did some research this time. I went with a 510 kit, and the difference between that and the 4081 is night and day! The fact that I'm using good juice now instead of the crappy 4081 prefilled carts probably has a lot to do with that. I'm sorry you had to make such an expensive mistake, but like I said, a lot of people here seem to have made the same one. I strongly recommend cutting your losses and moving on to a better model - either the 510 or KR808. No point sending good money after bad.

Very astute points, especially on the 4081. There use to be someone on here who told new users that the 4081 was just as good as any other PV made but that the user didn't know how to use it right. I bet there are many former 4081 users who are smoking analogs right now due to that bad advice.

I'm glad you came back and got a good PV the second time around.:thumb:

I really can't totally agree with this statement. I can see where an auto 4081 is similar in performance to an auto 401. But it can't come close to the performance of a manual 510. And comparing the performance of an auto 4081 to almost any mod, especially the GG, Silver Bullett, Prodigy, GLV, chuck, Screwdriver, Bartley or Stick is like comparing the performance of a Yugo to a Lamborghini.

I have only just started with the 510 model, and I have an auto. My next unit after the 4081 was an Evo 401. I then moved on to a M201 penstyle, which I still use alot. The only mod I have so far is a SP2.

I totally agree that you can not compare a lower voltage analog style ecig to any of the 3.7v and greater mods. I don't think I did.

I do like the 510 though. It is the only unit that vapes my blue foam dry. It does, however lack the taste experience one gets with a 401/201/4081 IMO. This is probably due to the low resistance and higer atty temp of the 510.

I'm also glad SE / NJOY are around to foot the legal bill in their fight against FDA seizures of imported ecigs and liquid otherwise we all might not have anything to talk about for around 5 years awaiting FDA approval. I realize that the ruling affects only shipments inbound for these two companies, however if the ruling would have been in the FDA's favor they would have clamped down tighter on my favorite hobby.

RANT ON

Now the individual states who are beginnning to see a drop in there cig tax revenue are inacting their own legislation using misleading information supplied by the FDA as a basis to outright ban the sales of these life saving devices. They refuse to look at the real issue of saving smokers lives.

Smokers like me have been abused and discriminated against for 20 plus years. I, like most just roll with the punches, pay their exorbitant taxes, and live my life. Now something finally comes along that actually worked for me to end my slow and agonizing life ending habit. The powers that be use the excuses "Smokers drive up health costs!" "Tax them so they are not affordable" "Everyone should just quit" to justify the continuious increase in taxes. The last excuse is the biggest joke of all. This is the last thing they want.

The federal and state goverments know that most of the people still using cigarettes have tried the worthless patches, gum, chantex and go right back to smoking. This is a huge cash cow. They state "We will use the money for uninsured childrens health care" which was the last justification used by my state, Texas. I for one would like to see a detailed report of where all the cigarette tax dollars have gone.

Now we have something that works, is affordable, meets the goverments excuses for the taxes and yet they scream "FOUL". This is not what we want. We are to used to receiving $135,000,000 a day every day of the year (using $3.00 per pack in taxes x 45 million US smokers at 1 pack a day). We don't care if it kills 400,000 people a year. This is way to easy for you to quit smoking. They must be made illegal until we can figure out how to make money on them.

I'm sure I'll just roll with this punch when it happens, go back to my analogs, and live my life. Expect a new cigarette tax increase of around a dollar a pack to finance a new five year study on electronic cigarettes very shortly after they are banned.

RTbob, i was worried about this; should be buy up as much equipment/liquid as we can, or will it not go that far?

OP, I'm using the SE Gold (4081) and once I learned how to clean the atty. it runs flawlessly, with good battery life and good/great vapor and throat hit (depending on flavor/liquid). Not defending them, just saying mine works like a champ, so... you know.

Smoking Everywhere update: I called the kiosk at Walden Galleria mall and they are shipping me a whole new upgraded unit so at least I'll have another SE kit that doesn't work. I got a tip from another Canadian on this forum who recommended I try Happy Vaper. The owner Jack actually called me to give me tips on how to revive my dead SE and spent an hour on the phone helping me out! I ordered the Happy eGo from him as they currently have a $20 off coupon. I will likely get the kit in the next day or so. Thank you to everyone who let me vent (wish it were vape) and for giving me tips and tricks as well. I am on my last pack of cigarettes and hope to never buy again once I start vaping on the eGo.
