Yeah, it's somewhat hard to tell from the picture, if that's a K series i5, or an i7 Extreme Edition, which alone would be... a lot.
I've been having thoughts about Malta lately, unsure though...
New i5 3570K in that picture (November 2013), upgraded it to a very inexpensive used i7 3770K a few months ago (and of course, I can't tell the difference, other than benchmark results)
As for Malta, I very much enjoyed my two years there, and really got on well with the Maltese, but the place has its share of problems.

20k race last night was Crazy
I graduated high school in '85 and we just got our first "computer lab" that year-6 computers total, lol. I believe all 6 of those guys work for Microsoft now!

What I wrote requires like... 30 minutes tops. Might check craiglist, or something similar. I'm sure there are people/students who work part time and could diagnose that at your place, whenever you have the time.
