I have an EMPTY airline size bottle of Vodka that will disagree with you.
It evaporated from 3/4 full with Cap on Once the seal was broken. I used the other soaking some 510 atomizers.
Evaporation - Closed - took about 3 months

Calling BS on this. No way possible it lost 1/4 volume in 3 months with out leaking.

Nobody said it was gonna be a noticeable difference volume wise. But the evaporation of alcohol and the small amount of water does make a difference in the juice.

Airing and steeping DO help the flavors blend.

You are claiming there is an evaporation but then say that the volume is unchanged. So what replaces the evaporated liquid?

If it did, it still evaporated. It was in my Plastic pencil box used for back supplies. It is empty and the box is dry.
The Bottle was also plastic.

OOPS sorry I snuck in and drank that.:shock::lol:

Oh:-x never mind:blush:

Pour a glass of water on your counter and soak it up with a towel. I will claim it evaporated.

It is ridiculous to claim that anything evaporated while the total volume does not change unless you can show what replaced the assumed evaporated ingredients at the exact rate in which evaporation occurred.

So, just to clarify neither of you are willing to pour a shot of liquor and leave it on your counter for a few days and monitor the level of evaporation?

Yet, are still going to claim that evaporation occurs? You are offering false information and obviously do not have the expertise to know better. A simple DIY test could prove to educate you both. And I am asking you to do a high proof test. The results are even more in my favor when talking about the miniscule amounts of alcohol we are talking about in e-juice.

I didn't say it was unchanged I said it might not be noticeable. Also more than evaporation is happening. Flavorings are made with water alcohol natural and man made ingredients. These may not always mix completely and stay mixed when combined. One juice I used to get always had 2 layers for the first two weeks. Each time I'd use it I'd have to shake the bejeezus out it. After about two weeks even a full unused would gradually become one layer and stay that way. I questioned the manufacturer and they said it always happens to that flavor. It's been so long ago I don't even remember what flavor it was. It was Lucky 7 Vapor brand. I've been through 20 plus brands in a year and a half Most of them were winnings or gifted to me as I find something I like and stick with it. I am however not opposed to trying new things. so if somebody gives or I win I do give it a try then steep it and give it another try. More often than not I can tell when I first taste it if it will be a keeper or not but I still give it a second and sometimes a third taste. I've yet to have a juice that hasn't changed over time!

If you are saying an ingredient evaporates it surly would b e noticeable. Place a simple marker line on your bottle and see if you notice volume change.

Also more than evaporation is happening.

Yes, steeping, not evaporation.

Windows 10 Upgrade
FREE:D
Though I'm not convinced I need it:confused:

upgraded 3 weeks ago has some glitches wouldn't recommend just yet.

What I've heard, and always found to be true... wait till there's a x.1 or x.2 release -- the first major release (the first number) is ALWAYS buggy. DOS 4.0 or 5.0, anyone? :D

(ETA: this is why I waited to get a new PC until windows was up to 8.1 -- no WAY I wanted 8.0!)

You are not telling the truth.

It is impossible for you to have lost 50% volume in 7 days. Impossible.

The only way possible is if you live in very extreme conditions. I'm talking ~150 degree room temperature. Alcohol evaporates at ~170 degrees F.

Yes, steeping, not evaporation.
example you have a 100 gallon tank with 67.5 gallons of a clear liquid in it. I sneak in and steal .10 ml of it can you see the difference in volume with the naked eye?

I haven't measured it, I checked by looking at it across the room I can see to coils are no longer completely submerged and they were with some to spare forgive me for not getting an exact amount I stand corrected not 50% but a noticeable difference
You never asked for specifics my rotating fan does blow over it every few seconds probably speeds it up a little by the way with the exception of the last few days it has been 100 plus here in Central Ca. I use the AC as little as possible I'm on a fixed income.

That is a poor example.

We are talking about e-juice. Say 100ML bottle of e-juice with a flavor that is alcohol based at 5% or 5ML. If the alcohol evaporates like you claim you would lose 5% total volume - easily noticeable.

I would put a shot or two of vodka in a cup to soak coils, a lot of it would evaporate in a day.
