Yah it's exactly like that! Words can't explain the raw beauty of it. You just have to experience it for yourself.
Looks like I made a friend.I'd love to try the 70 year old stuff, I understand it's close to $4000 a bottle. Which means not chance
I don't recall who was it... possibly someone from Glennfiddich... anyway. Read an interview with this guy. He's in his late fifties and each year, on his birthday, he's giving himself a gift - whiskey, that is as old as he is. His only complaint is that every year his present becomes increasingly difficult to find and increasingly expensive...
Oldest I've tried so far, has been a 24, or a 26 year old, but it was just a sip...![]()
Yeah I've had Johnny Walker Blue, I'd rather have the 12 YO Glenlivit. The 18 is superb. My other most expensive was a shot of tequila. I sort of saved a local bar's .... and the bar manager said thanks by pouring each a shot of Patron Platinum. It was good but I like the anejo it's got a more oakish flavor to it.I don't recall who was it... possibly someone from Glennfiddich... anyway. Read an interview with this guy. OH yeah I did get about half a shot of pinch that was bottled in 1950 it was about 25 years ago. Was an amazing scotch too.Yeah I've had Johnny Walker Blue, I'd rather have the 12 YO Glenlivit. The very first scotch that I ever tried was Macallan 25. Talk about spoiling someone for life. It's a good thing I rarely drink at all.I don't recall who was it... possibly someone from Glennfiddich... anyway. Read an interview with this guy. Did anyone receive any further email from Smok? I mean, it's Monday.. I expected them to at least message some people..
The original poster (AS IN SIGN) for the contest said that it ended the 16th, for all we know they may be releasing a few winners a day and we may not hear from them till after the 16th. This is a patience thing even though I'm the first to admit I have no patience at all. Bite the bullet sit back ad wait. That's about all we can doDid anyone receive any further email from Smok? I got my 18 YO for Father's day when I was 56 Wife and kids all pitched in for it. I don't drink much and still have some. I splurge and get a bottle of 12 YO about every 12 to 18 months as needed. lolHeh, I'm poor, so... can't really aford fancy drinks all that often. Even a 12yo Glenfiddish is a very rare and special occasion... but I quite like it. Quite possibly the best that can be had over here, at that price point. Never been a fan of JD or JB though... :hides under the table:
I wouldn't ever give a non scotch drinker something like that for their firs time. Most have to have it two or three times before they start to appreciate it.The very first scotch that I ever tried was Macallan 25. Talk about spoiling someone for life. It's a good thing I rarely drink at all.
Hey Race how's it going. Are we having fun yet![]()
