You need to try a few more tips.

The simplest thing would be to do one wrap of tape around the top part of the mouthpiece above the airhole band. You could use Scotch Tape or even colored tape if ya want pretty!

Short piece of Shrink wrap works well also. a little heat and it fits like a glove.

Yes, it's likely 304 stainless which is about %10 nickel.

The battery may be for keeping the board in a minimal booted state for quick startup after changing batteries...or maybe it is just for settings.

Yeah, it's just mostly moved on to flash memory these days, no need for batteries.

Keeps volatile memory from draining on the battery. Nice for traveling or if misplaced for a few days.

well the two batteries i got to day were half charged so are dead... such is life. the wife got 4 ultrafile batteries and a charger from amazon for $6.00, but wont get here until mid nov.
LOL so it sits for a while longer...........LOL

What do you mean? Most batteries just come with a partial charge, you have to charge them fully before the first use!
