The Gripper is an interesting mod, but are the max output amps equal to an LT?

Well, yes, since I(amps)=E(volts)/V(ohms)

Stick a 2.5Ω atty on it and set it for 4v and it will draw 1.6A. Bump it up to 5v with that 2.5Ω atty and it will draw 2A. Go up to 6v and it will draw 2.4A.

I think he's talking about limit. Prelim reports I've seen is that the Gripper limits at 3 amps, so does the YJ Lavatube 2.0. The Lambo and V1 Lavatubes limit at 2.5A. I've verified the YJ Lavatube myself but not the gripper.

Website and documentation says 4amp limit for the VV gripper but no idea how accurate this is. Still waiting for mine.

would seem to indicate more like 3 amp limit. That's what I was basing my comments on.

3 or 4 amp no make a chit to this old man, the vv gripper flat out rocks. Has a great fill to it, easy to use, fits in your shirt pocket nice, doesnt fall over when ya set it down and on and on...
Did i mention i love my gripper.

Just read it the thread. Sigh, well 10 watts should be enough for me but I guess we'll see.
