Just got mine today from litecigusa and wanted to give my first impressions. This was so easy to set up compared to my Aga t2 and putting mesh into my terminator. Wrapped a 4/5 coil with 30g kanthal onto a 70cm 500 mesh wick and geez it vapes so nicely at 1.4 ohms. I dont have a mech so I'm using it on my vamo at the moment but I feel like I will only be using the rsst from now on. The only con I can think of for now is that the drip tip is kinda loose and it moves around quite a bit when I vape it. I'm also surprised it is wicking pretty well with the fill hole cover in because I couldn't get my Aga t2 to wick at all with the fill screw in. Great mod for 30 bucks :)

The driptip can be fixed with a bit of dental floss under the o-ring. Mine was like that too.

I have 3 RSST's currently in use what I've found is the "seeping" from between the base and tube seems to be attributed to me being a little overzealous when filling the tank, I believe what is happening is the lip of the tube isn't sealing 100% against the bottom of the upper ring (coil section) and when tipping the juice will find its way down to the base I believe between the center stem (pipe nipple) and the tube wall. I generally don't have really any leaking if I fill right up to or a little below the metal edge and keep the tilt 45 degrees or less. Not sure if this will help anyone, just my observations :)

I do not have any leaking at all with mine, and do not have to tilt either.I guess i must be doing something right for a change,it vapes like a charm.Don't use this delivery system all the time either, usually use a silica wicked system.

One of mine doesn't at all, the remaining 2 one is more than the other which still seems to be intermittent. I have 3 more coming so we'll see how these do, will probably set 2 more up and leave the third. I use these now almost all evening (my dual coil dripper gets some luv time) switching between the 3, different tastes for different days ;) What I meant by tipping is I generally don't go much more than my natural motion doesn't seem to need it...

Not sure who it was, but Bmays had a fix for this on another forum. Use a carto condom, trim it down to 1/8", punch a hole in it with the center tube of the RSST, slip it over the middle section of the tank. This will prevent leaking down to the bottom deck underneath the tank. All of mine still leak down the center tube to the 510 connector.

I found a tiny-tiny (and I mean tiny) o-ring, McMaster I think, that I slid on after the plastic isolator and seems to have stopped it comin' down the positive screw...

Thanks for the tip, awesome Co-Op BTW ready for the next to start :D

I have 2 RSSTs, one is great, one has the seeping around the base and tube section. I know there's fixes for the leaking at the 510, but haven't seen anything for seepage from the base.

michliu - if you can happen to remember where you saw the fix you mention, please link to it or PM me with the details. I have both setup a bit different from each other and prefer the setup in the other but not if it means juice in my pocket.

Thanks

I think I saw the fix for leaking into the bottom deck on ECF also, but can't find it. I haven't seen pictures and mine is pumping some caramel apple right now. The steps are simple. 1) cut a carto condom down to 1/8" tall, 2) take the RSST center tube and press down on the carto condom to cut a hole in the center, 3) slip the carto condom over the center tube of the tank, and 4) put it all back together just as before. Basically the carto condom serves as a gasket that directs any leakage around the center tube into the tank. This does not prevent leakage from the top deck along the post, down the inside of the center tube to the 510 connector. PM me if you still have questions.

I just searched this problem and found Your post. With me the problem is: after 4-5 days of my RSST setup, the spring pushes down the rubber grommet on the deck around the pos. post and that is where it leaks down through to the Pos. connection. I thought about putting a washer on top of it, but the grommet sticks above the deck and that would push it down faster. Is there a fix for this?

This worked like a charm! No more leaky 510 connector! Used an old vision clearo thingie...

I'm just about to order my RSST but I need to know if these wicks will work:
Stainless Steel Mesh Wicks (3 Pack) – Vapinaze

Also, I'd like to know which wire I should use. Right now I have some 32 guage Kanthal. I'm currently using a Kanger Pro Tank with 2.2-2.8 ohm heads on top of a Tesla mod.

I know using the pre- rolled wicks is an expensive route, but I've just had a stroke and I'd like to keep any work minimal until I gain proper use of my right hand. Thanks. :)
