Hey Guys,

I rushed home from work today because I felt an obligation to do this video. I received the Telescope yesterday and was immediately alarmed by the lack of venting. I know not everyone will agree with me here, but the proof is in the pudding and I do test the assertion that this thing vents through the threads. Take a look and see what I came up with.

With all the safety talk as of late, I felt like this was something that had to be posted in an area other then the "reviews" section. I know this thread will be looked at by mods, if they choose to move it, that's fine of course. But given the fact that ECF has taken such a stand for safety, I believe that we face an even difficult battle in the future and that is Chinese manufactures creating mods that lack ANY of the safety features that have been implemented in domestically designed mods.

I believe it is in the best interest of the community that this discussion take place and that we/venders demand that Chinese manufactures at least match the lowest level of safety features that most mod makers follow.

A little intense, but good information. Thanks.

I got a little "hyped" there for a second...but it's only because I care about you, about our community here and all of the people out there vaping. I just don't want to see anyone get hurt. These may only be currently sold by one vender, but they will surely end up at almost all venders, SmokTech has to fix them and venders have to refuse to carry them if they aren't fixed.

Very good point even though I didn't listen to your whole video, I jumped around:)
I guess the intent of the telescope is to allow single and stacked batteries?

Raise a ruckus, we don't need no more pipe bombs.

Basically, the telescope will allow the vast majority of batteries around the "18" or "16" size to fit in the mod.

So any combination of batteries can be placed in there due to the fact that the tube can become longer or shorter at will.

Thanks for posting this. I was really considering purchasing one and damn glad I held off for a bit. I guess I'll go get a VMod now as I was trying to decide between these two. I'm really glad this forum is here, otherwise, I'm sure I would have created some sort of bomb by now and turned myself into Two Face.

I honestly believe that every mod should have safety features, whether it be single or stacked. We shouldn't have to take the "you know the risks" with mods, if something like vent holes and hot springs could help.

Granted it's been said time and time again, that the chances are slim of something happening to your battery, but as we all have heard, it does happen.

Yes, there would still be a risk even with safety features, just like everything else in the world; but, I would rather my mod have safety features now, instead of wishing that it if something were to happen.

Probably people are taking notice, but changes won't happen very quickly, especially with all the ones that are already out there and yet to be placed. This thread alone is probably causing changes to begin, but at first no one will own up to the problem, especially if they don't have a solution in hand.

In the meantime, this mod shouldn't scare users if they would simply drill 3 or 4 vent holes in the device down hear the switch end.

Does that voids the co-op running as it doesnt meet ECF safety criteria?

(I think its a rule?)
I find it odd that nobody in the co-op thread seem to be the least concerned about this
What happened, did you not get a slot so you want it shut down?

Considering payment has already been made to the vendor, I doubt they'll be able to get refunds.

Better to get "something" for your money than nothing. And now that it's been made public, those who get them will be able to modify them as needed.

I could see not allowing future coops on this item until it is updated. But killing the one in progress and everyone losing all of their money would tend to make a lot of people a little angry I'd think.

If the CO-OP was ECF Approved, I can't see how it could be Stopped and People get Stuck Paying and not getting their item.

You in the co-op?

Last thing needed or wanted is another "somebody" or "entity" wanting to nanny over me. If I'm concerned about a perceived safety issue raised by one person, then I can either not stack batteries or I can drill holes.

I do appreciate the original intent of raising the perceived issue.

Flip side....nice threads on that thing :)

I can understand not wanting to be Nanny-ed. I don’t either.

But I think you have to consider the ECF’s Position if they Appear to Condon or to Promote ANYTHING and then someone gets Injured.

In a World where Anyone can Sue Anybody for Anything, can you Really Blame them?
