I saw the mention of voltage drop on the Natural in another thread and didnt want to litter that thread as it serves a specific purpose.

I watched part of the review mentioning (that was all, just a mention, no testing shown in the vid) the .36V drop. It wasnt stated, but can only be assumed that this was the gross voltage drop of the entire circuit, including the battery. This is a horrible way to make such a statement. Resistance wasnt stated (unless I just missed it) battery wasnt stated, battery state of charge, or method of measuring the voltage. Essentially the statement is completely meaningless. With a sub-ohm coil you could see a .7V+ drop due to the load depending on the battery.

What was good to see was the thread on the Aussie forum. Before and after testing with stated parameters of the test.

The result: a lot of work and a potentially unsafe mod to gain .15V, or 4% voltage increase, or 1 watt. IMO, it's splitting hairs, and a silly thing to knock or dismiss a mod for. If you want the 4% or 1 watts gain, spend a bunch of money for a mod with brass contacts......or wrap a $.03 coil with a little lower resistance to get the same net effect.;)

Stupid question of the week. Does it matter which way the battery is installed? Mine seems to work either way.

Doesnt matter. Reversing the battery does make the body of the mod the positive conduit, but as long as you arent holding a grounded object in the same hand as the mod, while pressing the button, there is no danger.

I sanded down the 510 connector and center pin so I can sit my mods flush without backing out the center pin. Here's how it looks flush with a igo-l

Couldnt say it any better rader. I thought the same exact thing. Seems a little unsafe and a lot of work for such a little increase in voltage. Thats kinda why I didnt even test mine. I get a really satisfying vape with a 1ohm coil on the natural. Thats all I need. Still might swap out the contacts to brass but hey I like to tinker.

I am really so tired of hearing " that is a clone" , "that looks like a *&%$#" , "That is a knock off" Well honestly yall, the Chinese started the whole dam thing to begin with and you can only make a tube so many dam ways, you can only put the button up top in the middle or on the bottom, get over it. You like the mod buy it you dont like the mod dont.

couple questions, I have one of these coming to me next week, Im getting this in a trade. I keep hearing about the drop in voltage, would using a Kick compensate in the voltage drop? Second saw one person ask about weather it mattered putting in the battery in one direction or not? I thought that if you put your battery in the wrong direction you could damage your PV ? or is this only do-able on a mechanical PV?

Guess I have one more question, if I want to use a kick with this, what is the next size down from an 18650 that would allow me to use the Kick?

As a rule I always put my batteries in with the postive end contacting the atty. As for the Kick, I dont see the need with RBA's (pretty much all I use)

I am new to mechanical mods but I was thinking the same thing if you want to lower the total resistance wrap one less coil or wrap the same number of coils around a thinner wick and you'll make up the difference. I mean the Aussie guy spent so much effort for almost no gain.

The button will take some time for me to get use to, I could barely press it with my pinkie. Are the other side mechanical button this hard to press? I'm hoping magnets could substitute the spring or a spring replacement that requires less pressure.

I was in the same boat as you a few days ago...either the button has loosened up a bit or my pinky is getting stronger:)....Its not too bad now.

I've only seen the sleeve where you saw it. But exhalevapors is selling the natural flat top for 49.98 plus February10 coupon code bringing the total to 44.98. They are in Texas and ship quick.

Thanks. That's a great price. Since I only have 18490 batteries and like the fact that I can also use them in my Provari (I never did get on the 18650 bandwagon for whatever reason), I'll probably just wait until the sleeves are at more vendors so I can order them together. I'll keep that site in mind, though. :)

StaircaseWit, I just received an 18650 tube from Gotvapes. The tube does not fit flush if your using their 18500 battery with a nipple. They fail to tell you this on their website. I emailed them and asked if a 18500 flattop would work to make it a flush fit, their response was that the unit will have a gap with the 18500 and a bigger gap when used with a kick. I replied that the gap annoyed me and could i return the tube and battery for an in house credit. They replied, NO, as the part was not defective. This is when i went off on them stating that, to me, the part is defective if it does not fit correctly! They closed the ticket on me (granted I added a few not so nice words) I've spent $300 with Gotvapes over the past three months yet they will not let me return a $10 item for an in-store credit. Pretty crappy way to do business if you ask me. Taking my business elsewhere. That being said, If you want this 18500 tube I'll give it to you, just send me a PM with info. As for the batteries, which they also would not let me return, I'll just use them in my Provari and give my 18650's a little time off. Gotvapes can take their aloof attitudes and stuff em'!
