StaircaseWit, I just received an 18650 tube from Gotvapes. The tube does not fit flush if your using their 18500 battery with a nipple. ...

The 18500 tube fits nicely with an AW 18490.

Instead of having a gap between the tubes, try loosening the bottom cap, below the button section. It leaves a gap there, which ain't exactly optimal, but it doesn't look too bad that way.

Thanks VapingTurtle, your comment was 100 times more helpful than Gotvapes. If StaircaseWit does not want the tube maybe I'll pick up an AW 18490 and give it a try!

I do greatly appreciate your offer, but I haven't purchased a Natural and I'm not sure I will at this point. There are a couple other mods that have my attention due to brass contacts for minimal voltage loss.

It's funny because I was planning on using it with an 18490 anyway (which usually fits fine in mods that are designed for 18500 batteries), but I've seen 18350-size mechanical mods and how tiny they are and I want that for a smaller setup.

Thanks again for the offer; it's truly generous of you. Get yourself an 18490 or two and enjoy. They're great little batteries.

I thought I posted in this, I bought one from RAWR for 46 dollars, looks like the flat top in the picture. We'll see when it arrives.

Their description makes it sound like it comes with all three tubes?

"With all of the sections connected, the Natural accepts an AW IMR 18650. Removing the larger middle section allows for the use of an AW IMR 18490. Finally removing the smaller middle section so that all is left is the button portion and connector portion allows for the use of an AW IMR 18350."

If that's true for $46, I may be back in the market for this one...

I just got my Natural. With an 18500 Efest flattop and a kick 2 sections have slight gap. With EH 18500 flattop from Madvapes everything is fairly tight looks good. I may have to order some 18490 battery's. I can use the 18500 in my CCTS and use 18490 in Natural or CCTS. I really like it anyway.

Thanks. If it's all three tubes, that's a really nice deal.

What aggravates me is that the gotvapes site just states the batteries it takes, it does not specify whether flat top or button top. Of course I got all button tops of all 3 battery types and I'm going to have to loosen the bottom for them to fit? Unreal. I'm not happy.

I haven't seen any site specify. Usually battery sizes refer to button-top batteries for most common mods, but you never know with these Chinese products what exactly they're referring to. I do find it strange that they'd sell an "18500 tube" that doesn't take a button-top 18500, but there you have it...

StaircaseWit, I just received an 18650 tube from Gotvapes. The tube does not fit flush if your using their 18500 battery with a nipple. They fail to tell you this on their website. I emailed them and asked if a 18500 flattop would work to make it a flush fit, their response was that the unit will have a gap with the 18500 and a bigger gap when used with a kick. I replied that the gap annoyed me and could i return the tube and battery for an in house credit. They replied, NO, as the part was not defective. This is when i went off on them stating that, to me, the part is defective if it does not fit correctly! They closed the ticket on me (granted I added a few not so nice words) I've spent $300 with Gotvapes over the past three months yet they will not let me return a $10 item for an in-store credit. Pretty crappy way to do business if you ask me. Taking my business elsewhere. That being said, If you want this 18500 tube I'll give it to you, just send me a PM with info. As for the batteries, which they also would not let me return, I'll just use them in my Provari and give my 18650's a little time off. Gotvapes can take their aloof attitudes and stuff em'!

I hope I didn't make a mistake, I ordered 2 of these.

Got my new natural and aga -t plus. Gotta say even with the voltage drop this set up is pretty sweet. All for around 80 buck. Thats not to bad. Took a file and filed down the female 510 on the top cap. Then filed down the positive pin so the aga sits flush. Gave the aga a nice brushed finish to match also. Just gotta figure out some brass contacts and it'll be hittin even better.

What did you use to get that brushed look on the aga-t+?

I use an AW 18490 plus a Kick with my Natural and there is still a small gap in the sections. I tried adjusting to remove the gap but I cannot fully get rid of it. The best I can get is to screw on the base cap last and the gap will be at the very bottom, which doesn't look too bad. I always guess I could trim a mm or two from the steel pin in the bottom to get the cap to close completely.

Which part are you guys talking about? The top is the part with the dimples, I don't have the unit yet, in transit. Is the positive pin inside the top part? Also, I thought the bottom where the battery rests has an adjustment for variances in battery sizes.

The contacts in the natural are probably brass. They are plated and plated fairly thick. I sanded down the center pin and bottom contact and they both have brass color, plus a magnet doesnt stick to them. When exposed to lemon juice and vinegar, the acid reacted as it should. Finally comparing them to other brass i own, the look is spot on. This isnt conclusive, but narrows the possibilities.
Edit: added pic.

This is the beauty of APV's... Most are made with the AW IMR's specified as the go to battery for them. This way when you buy a different APV you are almost guaranteed the battery will fit, regardless...

On the other hand, I still can't figure out why GotVapes is still so popular??? Two years into vaping and still haven't bought one thing from them!!! All I seem to read is dissatisfaction in some form, from pricing to quality to CS!!! I just purchased the Natural with the 18500 sleeve for $49.00 shipped from Rawr. GotVapes is charging $80.00!!!! That is just outrageous.....and still some people don't mind paying the extra $31.00!!!!

Yea I been at this vaping thing for a long time and I ordered once from gotvapes. Not impressed. I'mreally not trying to turn this into a gotvapes bash session, but I did some checking and as others have said, their price is more with no 18500 tube. Exhale is selling for cheaper with the tube. If I do order this, which by the posts in this thread make it seem like a good idea for a "test the mechanical mod" mod I probably will. 40-50 bux isn't bad IMHO even with slight imperfections. With that said, I also want the most "bang for my buck". Exhale here I come!

And thank you to all who have posted your experience with this mod. And to full knight I'm really interested in your ccts also. Kinda leaning your way since I have various batts.

Thanks guys
