So I won a Crown from the clickbang radio show. I'm probably gonna give it a go in my natural, kind of wanted a kick to try but I didn't want to spend the 50$ just to try it out and then decide that I prefer it unregulated or something like that. Not sure when ill get it , he's sending it out soon.

Your PH is probably too high. The HCI is the secret. I tried vinegar and failed, switched to a 1:3 solution of muriatic acid and water and the plating practically flew off in under a minute. Only using a 9.6v 300mA wall adapter.

I used some nice clean copper I had as the sacrificial anode, and I was using a water/sodium carbonate as the electrolyte (baked down from sodium bicarbonate) mixed 1gal/1tbsp (I also tried 1gal/2ish tbsp, didn't seem to make a difference). I was running a spare (near new) 12v motorcycle battery, also hooked to a 1.5 amp wall charger (to save the battery). I had it in a 1ish gallon plastic container.

I tried moving the mod parts closer to the anode
I tried upping the sodium carbonate/water ratio
I tried making better connections between the parts and the cathode

Lots of bubbles, no chrome removal. I don't expect you to share it here, but if you could PM me a bit more about your setup, I would very much appreciate it.

I ended up giving up for today, removing my parts, cleaning them well, and just lightly sanding the connection points. It's hitting a bit harder than before, but now it's irritating me that I couldn't get the electrolysis process right...

It looks like a decent mod, is it SS or aluminum? Maybe you could use a dremel and cut some air flow slits San it down make it smooth. Kick, fluch mount cart tank. Sounds good

I've already exposed the brass on all the contact points , but I think I'm gonna fix a few more things with this. I have a tiny gap with my botton top EFEST battery, so I'm gonna take about 1mm off the bottom of the bottom post , that should fix that. The gap between the mod and the device on top is also a little bothersome. I'm thinking I'm gonna grind down the 510 on Monday. Then I might do what Todd was thinking in his recent video which is a great idea, use one of the dimples to drill a small 1mm hole through the side so you can flush mount devices that need airflow. Something tells me ill need a few drill bits to go through , it seems thick there.

I thought of drilling a hole there when I got it, but you have to take into consideration where it rests in your hands in 350 mode, whether or not the holes will be blocked. I get that annoyance with a side-hole RDA. Then I was toying with the idea of slotting the natural top cap, but the only device I use on it that needs bottom flow is an ody clone, so I can just buy an oddyseus base that already has vent slots across the bottom. For now I still have a 1mm gap under it.
