My pinky will soon be bigger than my thumb with the amount that I vape, has anyone done anything with lessening the tension on the switch spring?

I finally got that dang nut off so I could get the switch out and replace/tweak the spring. Gotta get some small needle nose pliers and make little unscrew motions 'til it loosens up and you can use your fingers finally. Gonna replace this stupid nut in there too so if ever need to re-do this it will be much easier.
This is my first mechanical mod, I used sandpaper and whetstones to expose brass at all of the contacts, and did the same to minimize the top gap. I have a Terminator-C clocking in at 1.6 ohms and a pair of freshly charged AW IMR 18650 2000mAh batteries.
My question: Should there be a one to three second delay between pressing the button and hearing the "snap-crackle-pop" of the coil? is this normal on a mechanical mod? This is driving me crazy!
Yes. Typically mechanical mods are used with attys that have a lower resistance than 1.6. With such a "high" resistance, it will take longer for the coils to heat up. Drop your ohms and you'll get vapor more quickly.
When you use it on a mechanical mod and can only achieve 8.5 to 10 watts and have a desire for more. What???
When did 1.6 ohms become High Resistance???

I think someone said at least a few tenths of a decrease in drop. I can't say for sure because my DMM batt was on the fritz before I started stripping, once I replaced it I was still getting a 0.3v drop but had not fully stripped the negative post where it screws together. I need to try it again now that I have.So to the folks making improvements in the electrical connection dept., just how much do you feel in being gained?
Must be this oneHave you guys seen the review by Todd on youtube (I would post a link but my IT skills suck)
All the pros out there may not get much from it, but as a newb I found it really helpful to see just what you need to do to improve the button and raised connector.
My biggest concern is the switch spring tension but I might as well do it all while I'm in there
