This is a follow up thread for members who were part of the Vivi tank coop and for others who are interested in discussions and tutorials on SmokTech Vivi tank and TCB rebuildable atomizers. I want to thank members who have shared their knowledge and experiences with all of us. I have personally learned so much from so many of you and look forward to continue to hear your ideas and learn from your collective experiments and knowledge.

I just wanted to throw this out there. I was doing a video on how to take a vivi tank and make it into a genesis style tank. And when I finally finished with the wick and all of the modifications, it would not fire. So after doing some investigating and ripped it apart, the wire inside was not soldered to the top positive post piece. So I had to solder it, and actually took care of the issue with the center post problem coming apart that a few of other have been having. Now it work fine, but I don't doubt that some other vivi tanks are experiencing the same problem. I understand the quality control in China is not perfect, but they should of at least made sure it was connected to work. Other then that, these things are awesome as a genesis tank, but straight out of the box, FAIL!! But that is only my opinion!! Sorry for the long rant!

I ordered myself some "finer" tools etc but I'm afraid to actually take the plunge and buy a soldering iron.

With my electronics background I'm afraid it would force me down that dark path into "real modding".

My kitchen table's become quite a sight since I started into the vaping hobby. Can't imagine adding tools, parts, and prototypes into the mix. Never had any intentions of setting up a workshop, but I'd probably need to.

It's a can of worms I can't bring myself to open just yet.

It's going to be interesting to see more modifications of these...I've pretty much found my sweet spot with the TCB tank (I can't keep 1 and 2 straight - which is the tank and which is the Phoenix style), but someone is probably going to have a 'Ford' moment with it. Looking forward to the next Co-Op. Thanks again for all you've done Nomo! Also, thanks to all who have contributed to modding these and the Vivi RB Tanks.

The coop was such a great place to meet so many great people and gain so much needed knowledge that I just couldn't imagine for all of us to lose touch.
I haven't had much of a chance to do anything with my toys yet so I am going to spend some time and review the coop thread for some great expertise.

I guess the second version of these Vivi tanks are out. Has anyone seen them or got them to tell us what the differences are and if it is any better than the original?

We have not heard how you liked your Vivi tanks wingsprouts?

Well, I've used one for about 30 seconds, I blew it the first couple of puffs I've had a hard time getting it apart and I'm afraid I'll break it...I don't know anything about soldering so I want to be careful. I read the tips on using a pencil eraser and pushing it on through, so tomorrow we'll see if I'm able to do it. Then I'll try making my wick and coil, so wish me luck!

As for my experience with these tanks except for the first couple of days I have not had much time to play around with them yet. I am planing on going back and reviewing the thread before I do anything that I might regret later. I have already broken 2 so I am not taking any more chances.

This isn't my picture but this is what both of my ViVi tanks now look like.

If you want to do the caps like this you can get the parts here:
Apollo E-2 you need the tank tube and 1 of the E1/E2/E3 Top stopper(make sure its the top Stopper).
I actually had all of the stuff to do both of my tanks in my spare parts bin.
The only tools needed are a pipe cutter, heat gun or torch(to separate the metal caps of the tank from the poly tube), and a small drill bit to drill a hole in the new cap.
I cut the vivi tube level with the top plate.
There is a supplier selling this exact item for $69 shipped.
You can get all the parts at http://DiscountVapers.com to make 3 of these(minus SS mesh and wire) for $59.42 Shipped priority.

Order a couple of each as this should reduce the heating chamber and give a better TH. More details as to the actual installation of the stopper would be nice.
