I got my V2 when it first came out from Time east. I didn't know about V2 but just got in on the cut i guess. No issues other than the batt cap threading going south (which leaves less than .5 mm gap; practically unnoticeable).

*Hey the good folks at Cloud9 now carrying Vmax in all finishes, has a Vmax Manual on their pages. I never did know how to use the menu other than to up or down the voltage. I just saved it to my desktop.

I still have my black first run V1 VMax that I got when they released and I chain vape it all day till I sleep...has yet to even hiccup.

+1.
My v1 black still performs perfectly, almost 3 months now. Only complaint I ever had about it is sloppy end cap threads, but they're still fully functional. The threads have been improved in the SS version.

The threads on my SS are kinda horrible.

If they are actually improved, then the V1's threads must have been f'ing awful.

As long as they're able to hold the endcap in place, Im not too worried about them beeing .....ty though

Whereas I initially felt the threads on my new SS represented a small but noticable improvement over my v1, after lubing them with a little dialectric grease and having a chance to break in a little after some use, they now represente a 'significant' improvement. Not perfect but way better. Perhaps the thread quality changes from run to run / batch to batch? Dunno. But I'm VERY happy now with the SS threads. I have to be very deliberate on my v1 cap with threading it off and on so as not to crossthread. On my SS, once the 1st couple of threads catch I can just screw it on quickly with relative impunity.

@ Errol, .... Hey buddy....my apologies for a PM I may have not replied to, I try to reply to EVERY pm I get within 24hrs or so. As soon as I read your post I went back and double checked my inbox but their was no PM in reference to what your talking about. I got my V2 from CCV. I thought you said you got yours from there also but I may be wrong and thinking of something or someone else. If theirs anything else I can answer just let me know Errol. Take care and have a great day. ...J

Thanks for responding J. I did get my CHROME V2 VV TUBE from CCV but it surely isn't a 4amp unit. It has V1.5 guts with a new party dress. :)

Quick question:

Wouldn't it make a lot of sense to buy a 3.5ohm atty such as: iKENVAPE i06 3.5ohm Atomizer (3.5)

to maximize the flexibility with the Vmax? These seem to be marketed as for HV vaping, which I really don't have a lot of interest in, but I'd like the capability if how I have it mapped in my head is correct.

Of course, there is nothing else to be used on it! Dial-a-vape with those values!

i just ordered it yesterday. shipping from MV isn't that fast!
I have a rev 1 vmax in silver paint. The main reason why i wanted a new one is that the rev 1 runs to hot at 3v which actually feels like 4.2v. They've said this has been fixed in later versions. If when I get it the voltage feels the same there are going to be some return issues.

best ecig purchase evar!

So 2 out of 4 legitimately died.... Not a very good track record.... I have been reading a lot of posts lately of dying Vmax's and replacements.... Is this a trend in the making? Not trying to start anything here, just an observation.... and "NO", I don't own nor am I a Provari fanboy.... I just have a tendency to watch an item, (that i'm thining of buying), very closely for a good length of time to see if it is a proven item or not and IMO so far it is not favorable towards the Vmax and not near sold on it yet.... I will continue to monitor it closely and see if my mind changes though....

Luck of the draw, I guess.

The V2's with the various revisions have improved it a lot. This has become a really popular PV and a lot of these have been sold, Madvapes has sold a couple of hundred in the past week and half on their own.

These haven't been around too long so there's still issues to be resolved.

When the Provari V1 was released there were problems too - screen warping, button problems, etc.
It takes time to iron out all the little issues that occur with these sort of devices.

Thing is, in just 3 short months think of all the improvements and new finishes ST have accomplished on this device. They've obviously staked a lot on its success and I dare say they're listening to someone about making it better; they appear to be doing so as a continuous process. Hope they don't rest on their laurels and continue in this fashion. At this rate the 2013 vmaxes would likely be very interesting indeed.

I'm one week in with the Vmax and have zero complaints. I tend to use a 510 adapter for more air flow with all my equipment. Some type of cone to close the gap would be nice, but I'm not too hung up on looks. Anyone know of a good lanyard set up?
