Donesmokin: that small box mox is pretty cool

THX, I have two of them! It's a Little Man Evercool from Krimson Kustoms, JamesW here on the forum. Last I heard he's taking orders again.

Well this certainly doesn't help. I've been desperately trying to curb my vaping budget but the Penelope keeps popping up everywhere yelling 'buy me, buy me!' It looks superb on the max. Perhaps a few more comments about its performance? Wait!
Forget I said that. I just don't wanna know

You and me both Fuzz ......"GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE!!!" .....I can literally feel the stack in my pocket burnin my leg. ,,,lol

did the voltage readouts get fixed on the v2?

Sort of.

I own a V2 and never vaped a V1, but from what I read on this and other threads, the PWM was tweaked on the V2 to scale it back a bit from the raging inferno vape of the V1 (where a setting of 3.0 volts on the V1 hit like 5 volts on a "normal" VV). In the V2, 3.7 volts hits like 5.

I am tentatively in for the vmax v2 co op. I have only been vaping really for about a month. I do own an ego twist but looking for a step up, wondering if that will be the vmax :) I want a provari but I think its way too dagum expensive lol, did the voltage readouts get fixed on the v2?

The vmax is better than the Provari as far as vaping goes.

The Provari might be more durable/better build quality, but its way overpriced for what it is though imo.

I found I've missed the lower voltages with the Vmax on occasion.

I'm using a mix of Flu cured tobacco and vanilla right at the moment and on a Twist at a reasonable voltage it's very nice - can't vape with it on the Vmax at all even at 3 volts, it brings out something not quite pleasant.

Most of the time the Vmax is awesome but I'd still like finer regulation and control.

You know, I too believed it was inevitable that the increased hit of the vmax would represent a con for me at some point, and I can certainly see for some people that it might. In my case however, even on my harder hitting v.1 it has been a complete non-issue for me. With the exception of one juice that doesn't seem to like the vmax's power output, I have not had a single problem with the increased output. I've used it with all sorts or cartos, tanks, atty's, at almost every conceivable resistance, and a wide variety of juices. While I, too, would welcome a more accurate calibration at the lower voltages, practically speaking the absence of this has not represented a problem. In my case I simply have no real use for power delivery lower than the indicated 3.0 of the vmax, whatever that translates to in reality. I realize YMMV.

Well said...what's the point of a VV device if you don't want to take it to higher voltages? Might as well settle for a 3.7 volt device if that's the case.

I prefer higher voltages but I'd like the option of lower voltages too!

Don't get me wrong - I still love my Vmax!

Google translation about the next Vmax (bad translation - any Greeks here?) sounds very good and a tad insane;

Tube Style VMAX DISPLAY LIKE switchable wattage Or Between varible voltage 5 to 17 watts Take 5/1 Dual coil to 07.05 volts and twenty-four Stage Programming Use Or un-stacked stacked battery's.

You can take it to lower voltages...I was just saying what's the point if you want a VV device and keep it at 3.0-3.7 volts...kinda pointless imo. Better off with a eGo twist or something alike than a 5 amp VMax made to push the hell out of everything.

So it looks like we are going to have a Darwin killer here too:)

Hi everyone. I bought the vmax from Vaping Zone. They sent it with two 18350 "no name" batteries. Mine defaults to 5 volts, so I think I have a "good one". Problem is, the threads are crooked, the batteries only last two hours, and I'm not getting the "kick" everyone talks about. Do I just need different batteries? I found the E'Fests at Discount China Wholesale Efest IMR 18350 800mah 3.7V Limn batteries with Nipple [3041]- $4.65 - PowerWholeSale but I don't want to buy them if I just have a junk vMax. Any tips?

Thanks,

Doug

Thoes knockoff cheapo batteries are what's hurting you...E'Fest's or AW IMR's are the only batts to use in the VMax anything else will ruin the VMax experience. It should last you at the least a full days worth of chain vaping.

Take some noalox or some kinda dielectric lube and lube your threads. Without batts in it screw it on and off a few times. When you put batts in it push up on the battery cap when your screwing it on.
