Getting my Pheonix rebuildable in the mail tomarrow, Anyone have any advice please let me know...Still really enyoying my Penelope on this VmaX...Damn!!!

:matrix:

I've been thinking of getting a penelope I just hate No clear window, but I have a few different diameters of pyrex here and plenty of it, much like a made a pyrex tube for my DiD, I would think between me and my glass blowing friend we could maybe come up with something. Would you mind PM'ing me a little about the Penelope..pros/cons, I'd much rather hear it from a everyday user with nothing to gain than a vendor who's selling it. Only if you have the time ofcourse...and no rush...I got nothin but time.

So Cal
It's official.... My vmax arrived today and im already charged up & in love. CCV did an awesome job with the service before my purchase and everything was packed for war. Even threw in a drip tip & battery boxes with the order.

Now I need to snag some standard resistance cartos for my tanks & I'm pondering a vivi nova 2.5 as well.

Thanks again to the contributors to this thread it has been super useful! I'm gonna be sure and take a few rips off of my tank of swagger for you guys

I'm on day 4 with my SS VMax, so far I love it. By comparison, my Provari seems mild to me now, pairing it up with my Surge tank insures me putting up my other VV bottom feed wood mods also. I never thought that would happen. Does anyone know if CCV has the blue led version? I'd like to order one from them since it comes with a pair of E-Fasts. I ordered a pair from them last week, arrived Tuesday and they are perfect for the VMax. I've been around a while but I'm learning much from this thread, keep up the good work fellas.:vapor::vapor:

No problem, I can send you some info on it. Kir Fanis from Greece makes all the clear windows for the GG Ody among others...He has already made a clear tank for the Penelope and it looks great!! I haven't got a better taste yet out of a tank, holds bout 3ml, Avid Vaper will be carrying his clear tanks..Last Mon. He shipped a bunch too AV for the Penolope, they should be up on the site soon..

I'll see if I can find a pic..That would be awesome if you could make something for it:) I always wanted to learn glass blowing, I have several freinds that are in business doing that..

Can't wait to try the Pheonix!! Deliver already!!

new to RBAs, and much newer to the Penelope

Honestly the Penny is the best bottom coil unit I've ever had. Somehow its been set up so that the TH and vape actually feel like a top coil, its kind of silly in a good way. For comparison I love my GTank US, but its a much more mellow vape, even with SS, that I use in the evening laying around.

The juice flow control is a great thing to have as well, especially for me as I 99% DIY everything and my mixes can vary in viscosity: 100% VG (unthinned and unflavored), 78% VG (thinned with DW + PGA + Flavor at 22%), to 50/50 VG/PG. Instead of going crazy creating the optimal wicking scenario on the coils and wick, you just twist.

The threads are a little bit sticky at first, but they break in fast. My first evening everytime I turned the juice flow control the atomizer component would turn with it, not good :)

I will say that I'm not a fan of silica (taste + possible health issues), and I'm also not a fan of nichrome aka crap chrome (taste). I think the coil the unit comes with is nichrome.

So I have mine set up with kanthal and cheese cloth :) I plan on trying SS mesh next.

Where did you get that driptip?

I thought I had all Siam mods driptips, but I have never seen that one (looks awesome... reminds me of the "slottet" driptip from Siam)

Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with the screen and/or the button caving in? First my screen started caving in and then finally my button. i was getting ready to send it back in for an exchange when I decided to try to fix it myself. I slid a long tool with a hook on the end up into the inside of the tube and was able to put them both back into place. I just hope it continues to work. Has this happened to anyone else? Here are the before pics.
