Well, I've re-sampled all my flavors and found it quite pleasurable except for one and that is one of my first DIY juces and it is strawberry in 100% VG. I figure it would gunk up my coils, not sure though. I use 20% VG in my juices for a reason that I'm not sure of. I am thinking about going 100% PG, what do think?

Well look at Scott Bonner (igetcha69), he's got more vaping goodies than anyone has a right to. He uses Totally Wicked's cheapo 100% PG tobacco eliquid as his all day vape. Go for it; what's the worst that could happen?

'Roll your own' with 34g Kanthal and some cotton gauze. Just sayin'. :2cool:

My version 2 Vmax with blue LCD just came in from CCV a couple days ago, and I'm really digging this thing. I was rocking a SS lavatube, but this is much better. I didn't think I'd like the one button menu system, but it's really not bad at all.

I did read through the last 50 or so pages of this thread to find some devices to slap on the end of this bad boy. I'd been using mainly lower resistance cartos and such. I've ordered some smoktech dual coil 3 ohm cartos, some 801 fusions, and a phoenix rebuildable atty. Where is the best place to get high resistance vivi nova heads? Both my 2.4 ohm and 2.8 ohm are reading 2.6 ohms.

I'm not at all sure what your talking about ( or your approach to it)

I mix my own juice and VG and PG cost the same, I just don't see any purpose for it other than a nice exhale cloud or for those with a reaction to PG. I don't think VG creates status.

If I'm missing something here please let me know.

What I mean to say is that, Scott Bonner (igetcha69 on youtube), one of the big name reviewers; uses 100 PG tobacco juice. With all the juices and devices he has access to, he prefers 100% PG. I was only trying to encourage you to follow your hunch and try mixing your juice to 100% PG and see if it works for you. Sorry I wasn't clear :)

Well, I have a Defcon mini that I built a few coils on, but I'm not sure how to get a proper coil built on something like the vivi nova/stardust that isn't "technically" designed for the coils to be rebuilt. I've heard that people were doing it but I'm not sure what's the best method. I have some 400 and 325 ss mesh, and some 32 awg kanthal, and I've orders some 30 awg kanthal and some 2mm silica wicking material that hasn't arrived yet. The vivi nova I have is the 2.5 ver/rev/whatever. What is the best method/guide to fiddling about with the heads that I have? Also, do you know of a place that sells 3.2 - 4 ohm heads that will work with the vivi nova 2.5, and should I add some 34 awg kanthal to my arsenal?

edit: Where is a good place to get this cotton gauze you speak of? Are there any other wicking materials I should have around?

No problem, I had to do a search to find out just who he is, interesting enough is he is the one that I copy for attaching non-resister wire to resister wire, but I had to look it up to find out who he is. Also I have been recently buying Dekang DK TAB which is probably 100% pg ,but I'm not sure. I can not make it cheaper than I can get it from MadVapes, as I have tried.

I have a bottle of the DK TAB from madvapes as well, and I believe your suspicions are correct. From what I remember it is 100% PG, but the bottle doesn't say.

I got it because of my quest of trying to duplicate Vapure's Dry Blend as the description was the same, ended up liking it better, now I'm kind of back on Dry Blend, I can buy the flavor at their store front here in San Diego and what I make is exact match of their's for about half of ready made. About the same as DK tab price wise.

I have to steep that Dry Blend for a month

Welcome back.I just got my SS vmax a couple days ago bro.Now I can't wait for my rba ;)
Just to let ALL of you know that there are TWO different FINISHES for the SS VMAX! The NEW SS finish is POLISHED(Finger Print Magnet) and lighter in weight and the ORIGINAL SS finish that CCV and Vapor Beast BOTH had from their FIRST orders are between SATIN and POLISHED(NON Finger Print Magnet) and is a slight bit more heavier in weight! I found this out at a Vape Meet I went to here in Texas yesterday and there were a lot of VMAX owners who wanted mine(which is the ORIGINAL finish I purchased from CCV) because of the finish! Just letting you know! :)
