YAY! I'm officially a maxer now! - Happy Vaper did a great job sending me replacement batteries (shipped yesterday, arrived this morning) Vmax has a really nice "solid" feel to it now. getting good TH and excellent vapor production but I have a case of vapers tongue and can't really taste much right now
is there anything out there that actually fits in the "ego well"? I'm using a 510 to ego adapter but the center pin on the max is so high nothing screws down fully

Which VMAX did you get ? Body finish and display color.....

@ Errol, it looks like a DCT, vapes like a SCT. tastes more like drip. CE3 in XXL tube, 10 minute job. I was going to put this in Raven Modders thread but saw that it was GotVape'sView attachment 130388

I am filling it like a DC, not with syringe.

Looks great Craig. Don't recognize the CE3 tank but fill plug in the end looks familiar. Did you punch the hole in the tank?

The CE3 cartos I have look exactly like the phoenix. Do you have a link to this style CE3 and do they come apart like the Phoenix?

I have a Version 2 Revision 4, Gunmetal finish - blue fire button, red display (was hoping for a blue but i guess that is just the stainless ones) Vivi Nova kicks some serious ... on this thing

That model doesn't have the eGo top connection so you will need a adapter, make sure you screw the adapter onto the Vmax 1st...but ONLY SNUG, do not crank it down....when you feel resistance in the threads go a 16th turn further but thats it, then screw on the eGo style connection. Should work fine.

Looks like some quality thinking went into the tank mod Craig. I may try it with a clear CE3 with holes drilled right over the feed holes or as close as I can get without obstruction.

Got vapes claims they have helped build the Phoenix XL but with a CE3 and a Phoenix side by side I can't tell a bit of difference right down to the wrappers. I'm guessing they come off the same production line and are randomly packaged for various vendors.

Very good post VAPENJ350. That may be the issue here. When you take the head off look at the bottom and see if the ring is burnt.
The material I recommend for wicks is cotton yarn, natural. Boiled several cycles with clean water. It is simple to re-wick the ViVi Nova. I would say SS Mesh, but it takes a bit to get the hang of and you would likely have to have it shipped.

yup, 100% cotton. I just re-wicked my vivi nova after a month of use. I used distilled water to boil the wick instead of tap water. I don't have any NR wire so I just doubled the legs using the kanthal a-1 wire. Seems to be working good!

so apparently the gunmetal finish is not very sturdy, after just one day of vaping the part of the tube that comes in direct contact with my palm is now a nice shiny silver, on the plus side it has a "memory" - when switching batteries it saves your settings.

Seems to be a problem with the gunmetal finnish at smoktech; I have a Bolt, 2 weeks old, and it looks pretty old by now.
Well as long as it performs as it should it's no biggy to me... but I'm down here in the jungle...:vapor:

Problem is, (@Errol) that the clear tube will not fit Smok tank, perhaps a tank that uses rubber grommets for end caps.

I decided to use a 15ml juice bottle. They seal up perfectly and are flexible enough to squeeze juice into the coil chamber if it becomes a little dry.

There's a video some place showing how to do it and it works amazingly well though it's not pocket friendly and not very stylish. :)

My SS vmax just got fried :(

It started firing up, even when I wasn't pressing the firebutton. Took the batteries out and noticed that the wires from the chip to the connector had melted :(

Now all is does when I press fire is give me the 123,456,789 code (this is the second damn time in less than 2 months this exact same thing has happened)

Very sorry to hear that :( These things need to be like fifty bucks.
