Does any vendor sell "pre-slotted" cartos? Never tried it, and really don't want to
Have to buy a dremel before I know if it's " my thing " or not

A few vendors sell pre-dotted/punched cartos. I think Jason at Electronicstix.com does.

Also their is a super super cheap dremel with every tip you would ever need for almost anything including the tips needed to do cartos (80+ pieces and tips) that you can order from harbor freight tolls.com for under $10 bucks. It's the only 1 they have for that price so if that's the 1 your looking at thats the right 1.

I bought that dremel tonight, haven't used it yet. Gonna see if slotting is worth it

I've gotten lazy after the days where you didn't have a choice if you wanted to use tanks you had to punch or slot cartos. I just get the triple punched ST flanged XLs now and only use XL tanks. I picked up some Lavatanks at Vapebash, got home, broke out some 1 ml Boges and after punching them thought, "Ugh...this is silly and regressive" and sold both tanks the next day.

Hey everyone. Quick question that's somewhat related to the VMax. I'm going to give the Penelope a whirl while I'm waiting for my DID. What kind of no resistance wire do you guys recommend? I'd prefer if it were something available at Home Depot since I'd like to pick some up today.
I read where people are buying wire for stringing beads, hobby-craft -jewelry shop. I use silver.

Hey hill giant

Silver is indeed a PITA to find locally.

Silver is preferred to nickel when your juice will be in contact with the NR wire (e.g. Submerged in a tank). But if you're just sing it as a run off to a post I honestly would personally have no qualms about using nickel in something like the Penelope

Full credit to my buddy quigsworth for pointing out lowes or home depot as a local source of shielded nickel wire, that should do you solid

In the mean time Twisted Jewels ftw!

Just a tip...if you want to either try or are looking for a "I need some now" supply of non res wire...next time you are at Lowes or Home Depot go to the elect wire section and they'll usually have a reel of that clear vinyl insulated lamp cord (14 - 16 awg) where you can see the silver stranded wire through the insulation...the size of the individual strands are about 30 - 32 awg and it's nickel plated copper...pick up 5ft and you're done for a looong time...

Here is the post I'm thinking of...

Since we want to use CE3s on Vmax it must be on topic, here is a small mod to get them working really well. CE3s are the only low cost item that I was satisfied with out of box except DCTs but with this that i saw somewhere on the net it becomes outstanding.
I have ground off about 40% of area of tube where it fits down into wick cup. The bottom one is ground down, the upper one is untouched. Unbelievable performance from a $2 item. There is such a thing as removing to much, in that case you will be sucking juice up the tube.
This is why that I can't hardly wait for the Phoenix Ravens to arrive at GV, wow a CE3 in a big tank, vaping heaven

Several CE3 and Phoenix bottom coil testimonials on one page. :) I had a 5pack of each, but none I tried were any good out of the box, tried every mod suggested on the original GV Phoenix thread including grinding the bottom off and finally gave up on them. Tried another one the other day for some reason and right out of the box I finally know what you folks are talking about. Maybe someday I'll figure out what is different about this one, maybe it just had to age. :) Working properly these are a great drip atty without the fuss of dripping.

Tis exactly why I gave up on them. 1.5ml and 3 ml alike. When they're working great the only way to beat them is a .357, I06 or quality RBA

When they're not working great you pull your hair out trying to figure out why, and I don't care what anyone says, there is simply no reason aside from MAGIC
