Got a vmax yesterday and so far I'm blown away by this thing. It blows my vtube, twist and other ego batteries out of the water. I've noticed that I would vape 3.0 ohm cartos at 5v on my vtube and with the vmax I haven't gone past 4.3v.

Idk if your familiar with ljesmokes, but they had a meet a couple weeks ago, and everyone I let try my vmax ( with their atty ) had to drastically lower the voltage on my max...lee ( owner of Lj's ) vapes a stormizer on a newer vtube at 5v, I put my vmax on 4v, and she goes "oh, I vape this at 5 on mine"? All I said was "trust me" and handed it to her, now keep in mind she's a veteran vaper, and she actually coughed after hitting her atty at a full volt lower on my device....( feel the need to say, that she held onto it for a few minutes and I think I see a vmax in her future!!! She really liked it, as did Henry her husband )

Bottom line is, the vmax has a "kick" to it, that has made all my other devices useless...idk what it is, but feels like vaping 0mg nic at 3v on any other device I use set at any voltage

Well lookee here....ANOTHER 'OVERLY' SATISFIED VMAX USER....Welcome to the family of "smart" people...lol! Such a beautiful thing to pay LESS and get MORE....SO MUCH MORE. That rarely happens in life with really anything....EVER. Actually 9 times out of 10 it's the other way around....pay so much more and get so much less of everything......right ?

Hey TAP,...what part of Florida you in ? Just curious.

Hey man, thanks for the welcome. I live in the Orlando suburbs. I was considering getting a provari at one point but couldn't pass the vmax since the price was lower.

Yes I know LJ's I was in there today to grab a charger and some juice. LJ's has some of the best juice around Upstomp and Flavorz by Joe, Great stuff!

Who can demand smoktech to make a mini vmax with a single 18350 and boosted circuitry??!?

I want a mini VV and don't want a Provasi Mini but there is NOTHING else out there that takes a single 18350 except box mods and cheap junk.

You could just buy a Zmax and cut the tube down to fit a single 18350 batteri... (And then take it to a machineshop and have them make new threads on inside of the tube)

Maybe even have them fabricate a removable extension, so you would be able to run both single 18350, single 18650 and double 18350 setup (That would be ....ing awesome actually lol)

Actually Random he couldn't do that. The VMAX can only operate on a 'over' 6.2-6.4 volt battery/batteries. If you were to put a single 3.7v battery in it the unit would merely flash 'Lo' or reset. The chipset would have to be completely redesigned and reworked taking out the step down regulator, a resistor or 2 depending on how S.T. set it up, add a v.boost chip (preferably the Ti-PTN chip) and more than l,ikely add 1 or 2 capacitors to store the power so theirs little to no drop in voltage underload.

Now with the new ZMAX you could attempt something like that but you would lose the stacked setup option ofcourse.

Look at my post again VAPN ;) (I said "You could just buy a Zmax and cut the tube down")

I know it wouldn't be possible with the Vmax :)

My bad Random.....When I was reading it this morning I could've swore it read Vmax. I'm gonna say it was my early blurry foggy contacts. But really it was probably me just mis-reading it. My apologies buddy. Man how did I read that wrong.
But let's not give up on this... let's make an extension for the Zmax so it'll stack two 18650s!!! ;-)

And double as a night stick! Paint 'em flat black and we can sell them to law enforcement!

PS: Well Shek says I can't buy just the extension cap in the current Group Grope. I'm going to go see my neighborhood machinist tomorrow to see how much this silliness would cost in a 10 off run. Sign up soon for the 'Nightstik ZMax' extension tube.

I have been playing with my ss vmax v2 for the last three days. To me, it's a bit too powerful. I usually vaping 3 ohm single coil cartos @5-5.4 volts on my provari v1. With Vmax, 4.5 volts got burnt taste. But I found that dual coils 1.5 ohm hits harder in vmax @4.5 volts than my smoktech woo (5 volts regulated). Couldn't complain for the build quality, much lighter than provari but quite sturdy. Cost me $121 with two pair of AW IMR 18350. Great pv IMHO. I will get a Zmax sooner or later. I have good impression with Smoktech pv's.

I do have the problem, and that's why I gave up. Only with mesh though.

I refuse to think my set up(s) are 'off' in anyway. In fact I would say without hesitation they are perfect. I've shed enough blood and sweat on SS to say that without shame.

I blame the Vmax. When there is an issue, the Provari and Multimeter, and my taste buds, all agree. Its only the Vmax that creates the issue.

Just my pennies.

Running a SS mesh setup at 2.8 ohms on the VMax R4 for several weeks now and it has vaped like a champ and has stayed around 2.6-2.9 ohms. Just had to oxidize the living hell out of the mesh and all problems sloved.

Lighter than Provari with 18500 or with extension cap and 18650?

Finally got the courage to try my HH357 2.0 Ohm on the Vmax V2, at lowest setting: "3.0v". WoW. Don't know exactly what true voltage is, but for me the VMax has MOJO! It's like magic; really brings the vape alive, even at lowest setting.
Sort of like, if I want a REAL hit off my atomizers, I put it on the VMax = instant gratification! Every time.

Basically if you have your VMAX set at 3v your pretty much vaping at 3.5ish volts. The VMAX runs about .5 volts higher than your set voltage. Honestly I find myself vaping at 3.-3.4v more and more with the Fusions and the Penelope. Fusions at 2.8Ω, and the Penelope at 1.8 (3 coils) or 2.0-2.2Ω (4 coils) using 3.5-4.5mm wick. And my E'fests are lasting 12+ hours easy.

thanks man, I knew it was higher, and for some reason, even at 3.5 or 3.6 on the Provari, it doesn't seem to be that sure-fire hit that i get on the VMax... that's why i say MOJO...
