GV you might say "missed the boat", wild voltage and all it just work great. You can turn it up, you can turn it down. I vape juice not numbers. And of coarse IMO

FWIW, I don't think GV passed up the Z for now because of the inaccuracy alone. I believe I read from the GV owners that they were passing on this version because of the high failure rate. Returns are very expensive for a vendor, and I think they got hurt a bit with high failure rate on the Vmax, even though they waited for a later version before carrying them.

Remember, 80 or 85% of us can be happy with our product and that sounds good. But 15% or 20% failure is way too many for a vendor to deal with. They expect about a 2% to 6% failure rate, not 10, 20, or 30%.

And retail prices may seem high to you when you see wholesale prices listed on distributor sites like Alibaba, but the margins are not really that great for a retailer when the cost of doing business is considered. Ain't no one getting to be 1%er Romney Wealthy on ecig business.

Is the Zmax flawed? Yes. Is it far ahead of its early Vmax beginnings? Yes. Is it still a very useful device, even with its shortcomings? Yes. Will it get better? Yes.

What will blow the Zmax away? ProVape coming out with a VW ProVari.

And a recess for Ego threads. If they do VW and recess it they will really have nailed it.

For a while anyway.

I guess that's the thing - new developments keep coming and what we have is open for improvement the day after we get it. Reminds me of the whole computer industry and the way it took off.

Did they have figures? From what I saw on the small sample size on their alpha forum there were people quite happy with the Zmax, and then the guy who posted the long review wasn't. I didn't see anything from GV on it tho - maybe I missed it. That thread has so many different things going on in it.
It doesn't really matter for me if GV stock it or not tho. They could be fearful of possibilities due to previous experiences.

Retired how can you post any tips tricks or quarks if you don't have a zmax?you are basing all your comments on hearsay and speculation.I for one think the darwin is the most over priced pos out there the design is so stupid and not to mention you cant change the battery? So when its dead you cant use it till you charge it come on who thought of that oh that's right its made in the usa so it should be 3x" the price that is what crushed this country and forced companies to go elsewhere IMO.But i dont feal the need to go to a darwin thread (if there is even one )and keep posting about it .How many have snaped off that cheap arm? you should worry about that insted of a device you dont even have

Why post at all based on other people's information? I think the point of this thread is to post your own experience.

Perhaps Smok never should have put numbers in the menu just low to high then "most" folks would be happy with the device.

PBusardo made that point in his video about Vrms vs. Vavg ... if it were just a unit-less counter, it would be acceptable. The problem with that is: it's self-referential. The "power scale" for one mod would be unique to it, and I think it would be maddening to have to remember, well this carto runs good on my ProVari at about 5, but if I move it to my Zmax I need to set it about at 3.5, or if I want to put it on a LavaTube I need 4.5, but on a Twist it's 7 ... AAAAAAAUGH!

How much better if I could set everything according to accurate voltage (or wattage). I can get some meaning out of Volts and Watts, but unit-less numbers are pretty useless ... and inaccurate ones are even worse!
