how hot was it then? we got rounds in every night and 4 wires that i heard had been breached, never when i was there. i was TDY there too, AFSC 32550 Autopilot and nav systems. Where were you TDY out of? My home base was CCK Taiwan but seldom there for the 3 years i stayed there after 56 weeks at Chanute.

Not very... supposedly one sapper attack while I was there in perimeter area but I got that from a buddy who was an SP dog handler. AFSC 303x3, Ground Radar (auto tracking). We were 1st Combat Eval Group out of Barksdale but I was never there. TDY out of Det 10, Hastings, NE Bombplot. As jackbox has articulated, if the maxes had power settings based on a meter or alphabetical where A is less and K is more, there really wouldn't be much of an issue. However it would give the reviewers one less thing to harp about.

Naw, the guys will their scopes will still want to dazzle and amazing the viewers with their cool lcd scopes and excel charts. They will just do the numbers anyway where the bottom scale is the power range, and tell us what volt and wattage we are getting. It would be interesting information but not useful at all in how the average user would use the PV. All I want is a set and forget device.

Had my first issue with the zmax today. Using an efest 2000mah imr flat top it cut out for no reason. No error message, no low battery indication, etc. The battery was fine, checked it with a multimeter was at 4.01v, checked it's temperature and was at 35 celsius, so it wasn't overheated either. Let it sit for 5 minutes put in another battery (Callie's Kustoms Panasonic hybrid imr) and it was fine. Trying to see if I can duplicate the issue, just wanted to make note of it. The efest battery worked fine with a yj lt so no issues with it either. Have checked everything possible (from atty being tightened too much, the connection pin to the battery, the button, the spring) can't explain why it stopped working, it just did.

Not that I could tell DirkBongo sir, but it's a possibility. Keeping an eye on it, hopefully it was a one time quirk.

Was firing when it cut out dwcraig1 sir. No adapter, using a 2.5 ohm ikenvape i06 atty. Atomizer worked fine on the Provari, vmax, lt, and ego twist. So no problems with the atty. Been using it again on the zmax for the past hour no repeat of the issue. Have used it with an 510-808 adapter as well with no problems since the cut out. Whole thing has me somewhat perplexed....

OK, I just ordered 90ml unsweetened (1oz of 12mg and 2oz of 0mg to mix down to 4mg) so I hope it's really that good!

The claim was the zmax checks voltage on the batteries when installed and then adjust accordingly.If 2 18350 batteries were drained and installed by accident it could think they were 1 18650 battery and over discharge and cause issues. I would think the zmax would be able to tell but Not sure. Thoughts?

Who lets their batteries drop lower than 2.1 volts?
It sounds like a long shot to me but I suppose it's possible.

you know i was going to write that no, they couldn't do that to determine whether to put the PWM into Buck or Boost mode BUT maybe since they don't seem to use any current feedback and have less than optimal voltage monitoring [to say the least, from what's displayed] it might be true Kcfromva. All I can find is aw imr 18350 specs that say the lowest discharge voltage is 2.50V. If that is true there should be little concern unless the zmax would run on 5v.
