Can "Acrylimax" owners join in this thread? I just ordered one from MadVapes yesterday, and there doesn't seem to be a dedicated thread to that particular mod. Considering the operating parts are actually ZMAX (with an acrylic tube body instead of metal), it seems like this is the place to ask questions if I have any once I get it...

I'm vaping on my self-made Variable Wattage mod at 8.4 watts (not an expensive mod, cost less to build than the Zmax). What would the wattage setting need to be set on the Zmax to get the same vape? I'm thinking that one would just have to guess (trial and error method), but maybe someone has put together a conversion chart.....

I have no gripe with you but you do seem to just be posting to knock a device you don't own. Don't really understand your need to keep going on. What several people like is that they can set it to where it tastes good. They don't care if it is not exactly matching the numbers. It's not a big deal. Sheesh - live and let live dude.

Kiwi, settle down... nobody is attacking your sensibilities... there is no need to defend. Troll posed a legit opinion (and one that I agree with to some degree), and Retird asked a legit question. You don't have to be a Z lover to post here, and you don't have to be an owner to post here; you only need to be civil to post here. Take your own advice, "live and let live dude."

Hey- there was nothing uncivil in what I said. I don't need to settle down - I think you read a tone that wasn't there. :)
I didn't say anyone had to be an owner to post here, but I do come to this thread to hear from other owners. I don't think retird was asking a "legit" question tho - not after reading through his exchanges previously. Seems to be just going on for the sake of going on.
I think we all now the settings are a bit off - but that's not really the point. It makes no difference in terms of setting it where you like it and then enjoying it.

I'm not knocking the Zmax. but I am posting quirks of the Zmax....funny when the discussion is about tricks and quirks some want to bash the poster rather than discussing.... I agree with live and let live.....so we can post our thoughts (pro or con) and quirks.....right?

Sure. I read through some of the previous exchanges and winced tho. I'll put some thoughts in another post. I need to get coffee to go with my apricot vape. :)

No real use for VW anyways unless you use the same setup all the time, since you won't be able to use fixed watts with different setups.
10 watts with cartos does not feel same with for example clearos or gennies.

The only advantage I see is IF your atty changes resistance through use AND IF the device constantly monitors that resistance. But that is way offset by the inability of the Z to accurately maintain output voltage for varying input voltage.
