I don't think build quality is garbage either. I own a provari now and a b1 and v2 zmax and honestly the provari is solid but the top is press fitted just like the zmax and the electronics are exposed just like the zmax when looking down the tube. The only difference to me is that the provari is heavier
And there in lies the rub...
"Quality" as perceive by the average American these days has NOTHING to do with actual performance, consistency of adherance to tolerances, internal construction and engineering, or long-term reliability.
It's ALL about "how does it LOOK/FEEL". If something has the internals of a 1985 Texas Instruments calculator, but has a flashy case and weighs more than a Bud Light longneck, then most people seem to be impressed...
Personally, I am TREMENDOUSLY impressed with my AcryliMax--BECAUSE it is impossibly lightweight. It is an 18650 VV/VW mod an it's light as a feather. I can wear it on a lanyard around my neck all day long and it's not even noticeable. And for the performance, technology, and functionality, it is astouningly light.
I wonder if the people who are complaining about the ZMAX being "too light" are also some of the same people who are complaining about the new iPhones being "too slim and too light."
Some people are NEVER happy, and their only joy is when they are complaining, and spreading their misery and sorrow into the lives of others...
