When the ZMax displays 0.0o it is a short. It means 0 ohms (which is a short). If it is open it displays 9.9o for too high a resistance.

I know that but the funny thing is that it shows this with EVERY atomizer I put on. So none of them is working while they do great job on other mods like my ProVari. They are not screwed in too tight either...
Anyhow I sent it back for repair, will see what was the issue.
A friend of mine had firing issues - it started to fire randomly without pushing the button and on maximum output of the stacked battery killing the cartomizer. His is also back for repair...

Oops got to catch up... Hey Freddieeee!

Just saying I've had my SS Z for about 2 weeks.... was wondering if this baby hits like the Vmax (like .7v more than what). Seems like it.
I have it on P (watts) and at 8.0 it blew out a 2.0 HH357 in no time at all.
When i first got it I didn't know what "P" meant and I was vaping at P 3.5 for LR attys.... lol.

I am like a blind man using these things.
What's up my Island Brotha! How's life back on the Homeland? :)

I have posted about this here before and in this thread today: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...x-here-variable-wattage-variable-voltage.html .
I just want everyone to be aware of this potential problem, some of the short battery caps are shipping with the longer spring, check the photo. Your short cap's threads should be starting into tube right at the same time spring starts to compress (this is with an 188650 non protected)

Thanks for that info: ANS = RMS = accurate to some degree. NEA = NER = beast mode. wow.
go to 8th option and there are two modes it looks like ans and nea the ans (but really is rms and ner)is the accurate mode while the ner mode is the beast mod as some call it .It sounds like you have it set to ner

I've now got it on ANS mode --- 8.0P - with LR coil.

Love the SS... it is solid and beautiful.

Had my v1 zmax about a month or 6 weeks or something, and today was the 3rd or 4th time it's stayed on after I let go of the button. The lights stay on and I can still hear the crackling of my carto. Seems to last about 5-8 seconds before shutting off itself.
There is a 10 second cut off, might it be 10 seconds?
Certainly this problem has been reported on the forum a few times.
If anyone else has this happen, please let us know.

Well it's been a few weeks with the zmax v2, so far no issues have sprung up. Still haven't taken it to work, but have been using it at the house on a steady basis. Has survived 2 falls, one onto carpet from 3 feet up, the other onto a hardwood floor from about the same height. The screen cover is a bit studier than that of the v1, the only time I dropped it caused a crack in it. Only time will tell.

OK my zmax just did it again and I did nothing so I could watch it.

The light was not on. But my juice was still popping like crazy. There's no way the current wasn't flowing through the wire still. And it wasn't that it was over hot or anything because as soon as it stopped I took a hit again right away and it was normal, cut off as soon as the button was released.
