I'm really glad that I took the chance on the on sale gunmetal zmax last week, it's working perfectly for me. I'm in a coop for an SS clone which seems almost like excess now as this more than gets me through the day, but I am looking forward to that too.

I think you'll like it. They are out of stock on those right now too.

Hey everyone, sorry was up north hunting this weekend and service was sketchy at best. Is it a knock-off vivi nova? I believe so, had no idea until I looked at that list of venders and hubs said he noticed while watching the video that it has 3 wick threads while this 1 has 1 on each side. At 1st I didn't mind the wick being in the middle and it's fine ( kind of) until it comes time to clean it. 1st it's a PIA that as soon as it starts getting down towards the middle of the tank I start getting dry hits (yuck) so I either have to fill it back up or keep moving it around. FFWD to time to clean it because the juice looks like tar in there. I have a quarter or more of a tank of juice, do I just throw that away to clean it or what? I WISH the vivi nova was like the Kanger T3 and was bottom fed, I REALLY like that!!
Took the Zmax even out in the field hunting with me with no problems.... well except sitting in the tree stand, lean over and the darn thing falls out of my pocket and makes all kinda racket!! lol It was SUPPOSED to be the at home vape but I like it so much that it became my all timer. Hubs doesn't like it, he prefers his ego and to me it's whatever, it just means I don't have to share it with him. ;)

The latest versions of the real thing work pretty well right out of the box but still requires some sloshing around as the juice level goes down.

How can you tell if you are getting a real one or a knock-off? Of anything?
Nope, and I've used the vivis a lot with mine. Takes about 8 turns of the vivi to screw it on, then another half turn for me. I agree with DSY, check the ohms in menu 5 - it's the DR setting. If it says 9.90o its not connecting. Are you using better batteries now?
Also, did you buy Vision vivi novas?

ETA: if you are using these you have a knock off: 3.5ml Vivi Nova Variable Clearomizer

I'm using Vision vivi novas - they work really well, and are the original ones. This is a list of official USA distributors:
News Details - Vision High Technology

You'll see Mad Vapes is on there.

This will probably be a fight with the hubs, he doesn't like the Zmax and he is just saying it is exactly the same...... ugh.... just going to shake my head and keep fighting with it until I can get him to admit just maybe it's not the zmax at all and this instead?

If your still having trouble getting your ViVi Nova to fire, set sub menu 5 to dA and that will display the resistance of your coil when you fire it. If it says 99.o it is an open circuit (no connection). If it has no display at all, assuming of coarse that it's not turned off, then it is a short circuit. There is an error code for short circuit but it doesn't always present its self. The center post on my first ViVi Nova stuck out so far it only took one turn to screw it in.

The Vision Vivi Novas will have the Vision trademark on the box. The knockoffs just say Vivi Nova's.
HA!! This 1 doesn't even say vivi nova, it says Clear Variable Clearomizer. I went and looked at the Kanger T3 and compared those to the photo on the gotvapes site and yep, although it's called a Kanger it looks different too. I am HIGHLY annoyed!! Hubs really likes this vender and they were GREAT meeting with hubs and he even ordered more stuff from them today which they shipped today and we will most likely receive the order tomorrow, but I think this way... if they aren't made by that manufacturer don't claim that they are!! That makes me not trust them with more important things!!

It's working at the moment although it's popping, even popped juice up through the mouth piece onto the lens of my glasses and it's reading 2.7o. I will leave it set on that for the moment until I see something come up differently. Thank you!!

The Vision Vivi Novas will have the Vision trademark on the box. The knockoffs just say Vivi Nova's.

You'll find the "knock off" ViVi Nova's have the air hole on the Knurled part on the tank as opposed to the atty connection - Vision stopped doing this after the V1's.

I got a knock-off from one supplier where the heads were completely different on the top and the bottom. I was looking to buy replacement coil heads for a good price. Good thing I bought one of their complete "Vivi Nova" sets for $3.50 just in case as I suspected they might not fit my two genuine Vivi Novas. Good thing I did that or the coil heads would have been useless to me. There are lots of copies out there. You never know what you are going to get unless you confirm that the vendor is an authorized Vision reseller.

Here's the bottom from a fake and the V1 Visions;

And the bottom of a genuine product;

I don't mind the "fake" that I have as it works pretty well without any burning problems.
I snagged about 35 replacement coils from a shop that was closing down, less than $10 for the whole lot...

You'll also find the heads for the V2/3's are slightly longer than the earlier versions and fakes.

Yeah,
I figured they'd update their tooling eventually.

Here is a photo of my fake Vivi coil head and a genuine one. The bottom connector extends much further down and cannot be screwed into a genuine Vivi Nova. The top is also pointed unlike the genuine article.

How about new venders? How often do they update that list? I looked at it the other day and no they weren't listed. Wish I'd know there would be fake stuff out there of the cheaper stuff! How crazy is that?
I posted a link to official vivi nova vendors before: News Details - Vision High Technology

Also, they should say Vision vivi novas on a vendor site. You do have a knock off, and that means you may have problems with it.
