SMY God Mod 180

I picked up an SMY God Mod 180 recently, and I love it. I've read a lot of negative posts on the forums regarding this mod, mostly due to the manufacturer's refusal to provide more info about the chipset, concerns about the safety of such a high wattage device, and doubts about the manufacturer since they don't have a proven track record. That being the case, I wanted to provide a positive review of the product with which I've had success.

My experience with this mod has been awesome. It vapes a bit hotter than other mods that I've tried, but overall its performance for me has been flawless. It looks badass. With my Dark Horse RDA on top, I'm spewing clouds like never before. I usually vape it at 40W, but sometimes crank it up to 80 for a heavy hit. I'm not interested in going higher, personally, but I like knowing that even at the wattages I'm using, I'm not even coming close to exceeding its capabilities. Another great thing I've noticed about this mod is that with three 18650 batteries, I don't have to constantly keep changing batteries while I'm out and about. The interface is intuitive, quick, and the ohms reader has been accurate for me so far.

I think that people's concerns about this product are legitimate, but my personal experience with it has been very positive. Hence, I wanted to share.

The SMY is actually a pretty decent mod. In my experience, having used it alongside the IPV2, IPV3, Cloupor T6/8, Vaporshark rDNA et al, it has a similar number of negatives as the others, just in different areas.

My biggest issues are the ridiculous 0.5 ohm minimum resistance (with 3x 18650 batteries... really?), the flickering screen, the fact that it fires about 15% higher than set, (which has led to me frying a few atty's when I tried to set them for similar wattages), and the biggest issue - the absolutely MASSIVE delay after you press the fire button.

If you can get over these issues, it does its job fine. Great battery life, decent display layout, nice clicky firing button, etc. You should be happy that you have a device that gives you a multi day vape, and will hopefully last for years. It's definitely not going to run out of power.
