lol.

Good morning gang. Thunder and lightning and rain here. :/

Yeah. IDK. They're really messing with this e-cig proposal stuff. The require signature thing is a good idea, IMHO. They'll pass on the costs to the consumer though, so Kat's costs will go up a bit. The other stuff is onerous and easily defeated (they should ask the kids how they'd get around it) and just more "red tape" with little to no benefit.

But maybe they will stop with the "marketing to kids" thing...you know they won't though. They'll still pick on flavorings.

Good morning Atty

I completely disagree with you on the signature thing...it's a PIA that will disproportionately affect adults. Especially those of us who aren't usually home when the mail arrives. And, while i don't think its a good idea for teens to vape, i'd sure as heck rather see them vape than smoke.

Arkansas...sheesh

*This bottle may not arrive with the cork and skull. Due to leaking during shipment we are now moving to a different lid. Good news the flavors are still amazing!

I think a lot of things that are marketed at adults require signatures if they even allow through-the-mail sales. Tobacco and Alcohol are two that come to mind.

Maybe not. Could vary by state. But I think the effort helps internet retailers keep their businesses open...and not get banned outright.

Interestingly, the USPS has a program for 21 or over since 2011. I think the 18 or over would be a "change" to it. It looks like it also requires priority mail, but I didn't read it thoroughly.

I think that i only bought one thing that was signature required by law (alcohol, and technically it wasn't even legally allowed for shipment here). I had it sent directly to work, where they left it in a front entryway, without even trying to get a signature. I was lucky i saw it laying there. Yep. works really well

Catt, your links are really disheartening.

I so don't want to have to deal with a black market.

Yeah. That was my best "compromise"...the signature thing. Anything else just guarantees a huge black market. Or hands it all over to gas-station sold stuff.

Maybe they'll kill the whole bill. But I doubt it. Most of these states are going after tobacco sales via mail too....and hitting people with HUGE back-taxes bills/suits. They are motivated with taxes in that case. Of course, as e-cigs take off...taxes are next  I'm afraid the writing is on the wall. Doesn't mean we can't fight it.
