wonder if bear survived!?
Yep... and pretty much without incident. I insisted we use the carrier I brought along. Dad just had hand "surgery" and it's in a kind of flexible cast, PLUS he has become unnervingly unsteady on his feet. (I've spared y'all THAT saga.) So there was no way him carrying her was going to work this time (or any future time). So I opened the carrier door and he shoved her in. Then the singing started. I did all the schlepping. Put her in the exam room, opened the carrier door and beat a hasty retreat.
So, anyway, she needs a dental cleaning and a tooth pulled (gee... where did I hear that
before, DAD?... oh
yeah, DAD... back in
2012, DAD... she still has that
problem, DAD). He's very appalled at the $650+ estimate (rightly so, if I say so myself) but if you have a pet, you do what needs to be done. If he won't do it, I will. After all, she WILL be my cat at some point.
Then back to his apartment... wind down... then go out to eat. May I say that "diner food" is nowhere NEAR as good as it was years ago? He and I last tried a "diner" 3 years ago and it was crap. Tried a different one and even more crap. So we'll stick to his cooking... or my bringing in take-out... or Chinese buffet, or Mexican, or grizzleburgers as usual.
The End.
